Antonio was quiet during this, holding his antsy elephant steady. When he was told to protect Lovino, he nodded slowly, and mumbled an agreement. As soon as the man was gone, he hurried to Lovino, rushing to hug him. "Are you okay, Lovino?"

Lovino didn't really react, except to slump against Antonio slightly. "...I-I...he let us go..." he mumbled, sounding shocked and slightly disbelieving. No one had even gotten hurt.

"I know," Antonio mumbled, looking around. He definitely had not expected to be left off the hook like they were, but here they were, safe and sound. "But that's a good thing, right? We're safe now."

Lovino nodded, running a hand through his hair and feeling thankful that Antonio was there to support his suddenly limp body. The exhaustion of the sex, the show, and the fight with his father was finally catching up to him, leaving him rather pale and slightly lightheaded. "We're safe..." he mumbled back, still not quite believing it.

"Yeah," Antonio hummed. He wanted to carry Lovino back to one of their carriages to sleep for the night, but he really needed to get Maira and Gorro back to their own spaces. "Lovi.. Would you like to ride an elephant?"

Lovino looked up tiredly, but there was a spark of excitement in his eyes. "Can I?" he asked, trying not to sound too eager. "Um...can it be Maira though?" he added quickly. The smaller elephant didn't make him as nervous as Gorro.

"Of course," Antonio hummed. He was glad Lovino wasn't afraid to do it, because otherwise Maira might have a fit about Antonio not holding her trunk or being on her back. Antonio let go of his hug around Lovino, but kept one arm around him. "Kneel, Maira," he asked, quietly but firmly to the elephant, who quickly did so. "Here," Antonio said, leading the way. "Take her leg as a step up, and sit right behind me." He let go of Lovino, and climbed onto her, sitting right where her skull met her neck.

Lovino watched the elephant and her trainer closely, eyes wide in wonder. When his turn came, Lovino stepped up carefully, sliding behind Antonio and hugging his waist tightly. "She's amazing," he said in a small voice, admiring just how high up he was.

Antonio hummed, patting Maira's ear gently so she'd stand back up. "Isn't she? She's so beautiful," Antonio said fondly, rubbing her ear again and she started walking, Gorro following right behind. "They're my best friends, along with you. All of my favorite things right here with me now and they all love each other, it makes me so happy," he chirped.

Lovino laid his head between Antonio's shoulder blades and smiled to himself. "...You, too." he replied after a few seconds, blushing. "I, um, y-you make me happy too."

Antonio smiled, reaching up to rub his fingers over one of the arms that Lovino had wrapped around him. "I'm glad," he hummed. It was a little while later that they reached Gorro's cage, and Gorro waited to Antonio. "I'll be back in a second," Antonio told him, and effortlessly slipped off of the elephant to the ground. He opened Gorro's cage, to let him in, and then locked it. When he walked back to Maira, he knew Lovino might fall off if she knelt, so he just had her lower her trunk, let him walk on, and lift him carefully up. He crawled back into position in front of Lovino, but this time, facing him while Maira kept walking. "Hii," he chirped, giving the Italian a kiss.

Lovino squealed a protest when Antonio slid away, leaving him to balance himself on Maira's back. He jumped when Antonio suddenly appeared again, kissing him, and held tightly to him not wanting to fall. "Don't leave me up here alone, b------!"

"Oh, sorry, Lovi," Antonio apologized quickly. "But, you know, Maira's very gentle. You weren't in danger."

"It's still...high..." he mumbled, scowling stubbornly. He refused to let go of Antonio's waist, snuggling up to him with a huff, pouting. "Besides, what if I fall?"

Antonio kissed the top of his head, rubbing his back. "You won't fall, I promise," Antonio assured him. In another moment, they'd reached Maira's carriage. "Kneel," Antonio said, whilst still hugging Lovino, and let go of him once she was kneeled down. "Alright, both off this time."
