Cyrus watched the dragon go cautiously. He he could try to escape, but it was no doubt faster than he was. As much as he disliked sitting around and waiting to be eaten, he didn't see any other logical option. Seeing the fire start to dim, he grabbed a piece of firewood off the pile and placed it on the flames.
-
Out in the dark, he went after a quicker kill than he had planned to earlier. It took him roughly half an hour, but he came back with an old doe, carrying it like a small chew toy.
-
Cyrus looked away at the sight of the limp animal. A few of the people in town were enthusiastic hunters, but Cyrus had never understood killing for sport. Although for the dragon it was more for survival.
-
Aidan tore off one of the legs, then stared at the human expectantly, not understanding his disgust.
-
Seeing the dragon gazin at him, he gestured to the doe's corpse. "I'm not a big fan of killing animals." He explained. "I know you must need to, though, to survive..."
-
He nosed the carcass toward the human, not entirely sure why. It was food, and the human had to be hungry.
-
Cyrus bit his lip and turned away. "Thanks, but I'm not that hungry." There was no way he could eat that. Even if he cooked it, he would remember he was eating the old doe.
-
He pulled it back and turned so that the human couldn't see while he finished it, then dragged what was left back to the ravine.
-
Cyrus was surprised when the dragon turned away from him to eat. He was being almost...courteous, a fact which he was grateful for, but also surprised him.
-
He returned to the fireside and yawned a bit. The human probably wouldn't sleep much, so he'd have to do his best to keep him company. He walked deeper into the cave, whisking his tail in a gesture that suggested the human follow him. What he needed would be too small for him to carry.
-
Cyrus took the hint and stood up, trailing after the dragon, wondering what the creature was going to show him.
-
His large, sharp claws clicked on the stone beneath him. He reached his hoard, knowing there was a bottle of ink somewhere. Some parchment paper would be great, too. If he didn't accidentally light it on fire, anyway.
-
Cyrus followed behind slowly, surprised to see quite a good deal of human items in the cave, including a bottle of ink and few stray pieces of parchment. He glanced up at the dragon. Perhaps it would try to communicate.
-
He gestured to the ink and the paper, hoping the human understood. It wasn't his fault his paws were large enough to easily choke him. He figured the human could grab anything else he wanted, as the cave got fairly cold at night.
-
Seeing the dragon's gesture, he grabbed a piece of parchment and the ink, along with a blanket that looked like it was made of sheep's wool. Not comfortable, but warm.
