Ira wasn't sure if he should follow her out, so he simply rested on his elbow, watching her to see what she was doing. Ave was still very strange to him, but she was..okay. Some of the time. She was helping him after all.
-
"We got some calls about vehicle theft, for a vehicle with your plates. May I see your identification, sir?" she asked, entirely professional.
The man didn't seem to be entirely convinced, due to her not having a uniform, but leaned over to the glovebox and fished out proof that the car was his. She looked it over, having absolutely no clue what to do, but figured it was good enough. She handed it back and patted his arm gently. "Sorry for the inconvenience, sir. Have a nice day."
Ava walked back over to the police car, grinning at Ira through the front window. -
He rose a brow at her in confusion. Had she stopped what was supposed to happen? Or would it still happen once the man reached the light? "So? Is he safe to leave now, or is he still gonna try to drive off the bridge?"
-
just before i shower wowza
"Watch," she said, closing the car door. "Just watch him." She was still smiling. -
"I swear if you did anything..." He muttered and drove out of the way, watching the truck closely.
-
She leaned back in her seat and watched Ira. The truck was in front of the line waiting for the stoplight, waiting patiently. When the light turned green, it made a left, completely ignoring the bridge. "He's going to buy a doughnut, then he'll call his daughter, who's currently away at college. I told you I could do it."
-
Ira let out a sigh of relief. Maybe he didn't have to doubt her as much as he did, but she was a demon after all. Anything could happen. "Thank you, I appreciate all of your help. But..are you going to help me find the killer?"
-
you should post in my thread it's fun
"Can I stay at your apartment until we find him?" she asked. -
"Are you going to try to kill me in my sleep?"
-
"Even if I say I won't, will you trust my word?"
-
"...I suppose I will. This time." Ira smiled as he drove her back to the apartment. "Anything else we need to do before we get back?"
-
She shook her head. "I can't think of anything. And I'll help you." She glanced out the window. "You know, that was actually really easy. Changing his mind, I mean. All it took was a touch, which you humans rarely notice anway." She looked over at her hand, which was resting on his arm.
-
"A touch?" He questioned, glancing down at his arm. He shook her hand off after a moment. He didn't think she had 'changed his mind' about anything, but she still could.
-
She hadn't changed anything, and didn't plan to. Besides, it would taken a lot longer to put something in than take something out. Her smile faded a bit.
