"You dont'?" Ryan asks. "Well why not?"

Melanie couldn't help but laugh at that, though it was a nervous laugh. "Really?" she asks. -
Richard tilted his head, unhappy his sentance hadn't been transmitted the right way and sighed. Maybe he really didn't belong in Erudite, after all.

"Yeah!" Hazel said, "So, you have any family?" She asked, trying to calm the girl down a bit. -
Ryan thought for a second and shook his head. "Whoa I translated that wrong. Why shouldn't I?" Ryan asked.

Melanie stopped laughing almost instantly. By instinct her hand went to her stomach where her scar was. She could still feel the sharp metal stabbing into her sometimes. She could feel the tears in her eyes build up a little. "I had five brothers," she answers. -
Richard smirked and looked away. This man seemed clueless. He pitied him, really.

"Oh." Hazel said sadly, not daring to ask. She doubted it was the time to talk about Harmony and Symphony, her two sisters. Or her mom and dad. So she kept her mouth shut. -
"Okay, I'm not Erudite, so tell me what your really meant," Ryan says, really confused.

Melanie cleared her throat. "W-What about you?" melanie asks. She didn't want to seem like a kicked puppy, so she forced the tears to go away and forced herself to look Hazel in the eyes. -
Richard sighed, frustrated. "Nothing, nothing." He said passively.

Hazel sputtered for a few moments, "Err..uhmm..er..ehmm..I have two sisters, Harmony and Symphony. One is fourteen, one is six." -
Ryan lifted up an eyebrow, staring at the boy. He wasn't ready to give up that easily.

Melanie forced herself to smile. It was a really good fake smile, but her eyes told a different story. "Those are wonderful names," she says. -
Richard even still ignored him, his smirk growing wider.

"Yeah and really chee-" Hazel cut herself off and put on a fake smile, "Yeah, wonderful names!" She tried to seem peppy. -
"I am not afraid to push my Abnegation to the side and snap your skinny little form and half," Ryan joked.

Melanie laughed a little more, but it was forced. "How come I never see you around?" Melanie changes the subject off of families. -
"I'm not afraid of a s- abnegation." Richard had barely cut himself off from saying stiff . He looked up to Ryan and smiled mischeviously.

"I'm always in the fields with my mother and my sister. I like to grow crops." Hazel explained, "I also help my mother with the food and dishes. So I'm pretty busy all around." -
Ryan knew what Richard was going to say. He was going to call him Stiff. He smirked. "Hey, do you know what's short for Richard, Richard?" he asks.
(XD I think they're not going to be friends)

Melanie nods. "I'm always with Brian cooking in the kitchens for everyone," Melanie says. -
(Pshh Erudite and Abnegation? Probably not xD)
"Yeah, I do. Erudite remember?" Richard said sarcastically, looking up. He had a huge smirk on his face and he calmly put a hand through his black hair.

Hazel smiled, "Plus my mom always makes me do medatation and yoga and that stuff. Just to keep the inner harmony." -

"Then can you tell me why Dick is short for Richard then?" Ryan says with a huge smirk on his face.
(seriously why is Dick short for Richard?)

"Ah yes, harmony," Melanie says. "Brian and Maylee make me do flute, guitar, piano, violin, and they have me sing. Well, I guess I wouldn't say make since i've grown to liking it now." -
"Never heard it that way." Richard said, frowning. Considering slapping him, he had to push his anger down his throat.

"Yeah. I play guitar sometimes. My younger sister, Harmony is a natural at it. Symphony has taken a liking to Violin it seems." Hazel smiled. -
why dick is short for richard XD
"Hmm. Maybe you should go to your books and look it up. You do that a lot I'm assuming," Ryan says. He couldn't wipe that smirk off his face.

"I could help teach her if she needs any help, Symphony," Melanie says. Melanie coughs. "If I decide to stay anyways."
