"Hm. Would you like to come to my house for a little while? Just to talk and whatnot?" He decided on being the brave fish this time.

"Sure. I would love to come hang out with you." Jack replied happily.

Luke hid a slight blush. "Follow me." He started down the sidewalk, a bit of a hop in his step. His new elated mood was a pleasant change.

Jack nodded his head in reply then followed Luke down the sidewalk.

Luke, a few minutes later, spotted a familiar cat. "Professor! What are you doing outside!?" He hurried to his furry Persian cat, lifting him up. Professor let out a mew.

"Aww, your cat looks so cute." Jack said looking at Professor.

Luke planted a few small kisses to Professor's cheek, smiling with pride. "Thank you, he's my baby." He held the animal close, continuing on. A nervous feeling set into his stomach, as this usually happened when his father had been drinking.

"I see that." Jack replied as he watched Luke and Professor. "What WAS professor doing outside though?"

"I'm not sure," he answered, even if he was positive. Professor snuggled against Luke's chest. The boy soon stopped at a one-story house painted navy blue. The yard was well kept and there were cute flowers scattered around the yard, bringing a liveliness to the scene.

Jack looked at the house and said "Nice."

"Yeah." He was very hesitant to enter, but did anyways, allowing Professor to perch onto his own shoulder. He stared around the house, searching for his father or any traces of him.

Jack followed Luke into the house. Jack then remembered that Luke had abusive parents, he wondered if they were present in the home.

"Dad?" he called, jumping is a startled manner when the man stomped out of the kitchen.
"Yeah, what?" he blandly said, burping. Luke stared at him. -
Jack stood silent as he stared at Lukes father.
(Luke... I am your father.)
