"Oh....god..." She covered her mouth with her hand as she kneeled down to the animal, checking for a heartbeat. None was present, so she moved it a bit into the woods and covered it with flowers, before driving back home in shock.
-
As her body was covered with flowers, her being slowly transferred into the human. She was left fully a wolf, finally at rest after a roughly a century of immortality.
-
She slowly walked through the front door to her house, and walked up the stairs, without saying a word to her brother. The only thing Everly bothered to do was change into a grey tank top and pajama shorts before burying herself in her bed sheets. She killed an animal today, a wolf. It's dead, because of her. She soon fell asleep, her mind filled with negative thoughts.
-
Back at the pack house, Lyall was the only one awake. He'd sensed that a pack member had died, just as all alphas would. He couldn't stand the others not knowing, but it had to wait until the next morning. They could go out and find her body and have a proper ceremony for her.
-
She rolled around in her bed, eventually waking up in the early house of the morning. As she started to wake up more, everything seemed different. She could see better, she could smell the freshly brewed coffee downstairs, and hear the sink fossit across the hallway drip water. She passed it off as a dream, and closed her eyes again.
(Should she shift now?) -
(If you want.)
He spent the rest of the night planning how to explain what happened to the pack. At some point, he passed out until daybreak. -
Everly was jolted awake by a sudden pain in her side. Then in her leg, then all over. She closed her eyes and somehow ended up on the floor. She opened them again, and what she saw in her full length mirror made her scream internally. A white wolf, about 4 ft long. No....no...no.... she closed her eyes again, and took deep breathes, in an attemp to calm down. When she opened then again, it was her in the mirror, and not a wolf.
-
He woke up at the dining room table, greeted by the smell of coffee and sizzling bacon. When he stood up and walked into the tiny kitchen, he found his older brother at the stove.
-
"Oh god....what's happening to me..." she mumbled. Right when she felt another pain in her side, she bolted down the stairs and ran outside as fast she could, sprinting into the woods.
-
Lyall poured himself a cup of coffee and leaned against the fridge. "Morning," he murmured, watching the other werewolf, who was almost exactly the same in appearance, but older.
-
She got as deep into the woods as she could before turning into a wolf again. Instead of panicking, she took a moment to examine herself. When she opened her mouth to make a sound, she only sound she could make were pants, or whimpers. Walking on all fours was pretty interesting, so was rolling around. She closed her eyes again and concentrated, shifting back to human. Why was this happening to her? How was it possible, and why is it so painful?
-
"Where's Cassandra?" his brother, Clancy, asked. Lyall took a sip of his coffee and gazed at his brother with a stare that seemed to explain everything.
-
She switched back to human and slid down a tree, hugging her knees to her chest as she tried to take everything in. She had so many questions, and no one to answer them. She also still felt terrible for killing that wolf last night.
-
Cassandra and Clancy had been dating for the past six or seven years. It was a bit shocking to be embraced so tightly by his brother, and neither of the two said anything while the elder silently cried.
-
Out of nowhere, Everly suddenly felt a rush of guilt enveloping her. She let out a shaky breath and closed her eyes, trying to block everything out. Maybe this was all a dream, and she was still asleep.
