Mmmmkay you wanna start it off -

Rafael shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked along the road of his village. He weather was disgusting; 'twas the hot and sticky summer weather with humidity thick enough to cut with a knife. Any sane person would be inside that day, attempting to cool off. But Rafael refused to sit or rest anywhere. The boy was deprived of sleep, and knew that he would fall asleep if he got the chance. He had to keep himself awake. Or else he would die. -
*The weather

Maddie sat by a pond cooling off from the suns hot rays and attempting to stay awake; she looked around at the sight of sleep deprived and dead bodies and watched rafael walk down the street.she'd seen him only a few times and from what she saw he didn't seem that nice. Maddie gave a sigh and muttered under her breath "I wonder where he's off to"

Rafael needed to stop walking. Although he didn't want to, his body couldn't take the excessive walking. Hesitantly, Rafael leaned against a store wall across from the pond, where he could see a pretty blonde girl. Rafael chuckled and lit a cigarette.

Unaware that rafael was watching maddie decided it was time to leave;maddie stood up and started walking his way preoccupied by her thoughts she didn't notice him standing directly in front and bumped into him; maddie stuttered while coughing from the cigarette "ss..sorry..I..I didn't see you there"

It took a moment for Rafael to release that the girl was heading straight towards him, and, by the time that he did, it was too late. As she knocked into him, Rafael's cigarette flew from his hand. Ignoring the apology the girl stuttered out, Rafael's voice was sharp and edgy, "Yo, watch where you're headin'."

Feeling angered by his rude remark she looked directly at him and said to him as she poked his chest
"Excuse me but maybe you should watch where you're standing!"
With that she quickly bent down to gather her items -
"BahahahAHAHAHAHA!!!" Rafael laughed and grabbed the girl's wrist before turning her around and pinning her to the wall. "Look at you, what a cutie," He leaned in so that their faces were only centimeters apart. "Actin' so tough. Do you really wanna start a fight in a time like this?"
*dances* Raphael is an a--holel!!! :D)) -
Maddie felt trapped.she looked up at the boy who stood before her "if he's as tough as he looks I won't have much of a chance" she thought. Maddies eyes darted around looking for a possible escape

Raphael sighed and released her, something he normally would never do. "Hey look, I'm sorry. I'm a bit agitated is all." He lit another cigarette as he put out the one that had landed on the ground before, coughing a little bit.

Maddie fixed her hair and looked at him confused "haven't had much sleep either?" She questioned as she watched him with suspicion light the cigarette

He scoffed and took a puff, blowing a ring of smoke away from their faces. "Whadd'ya think? Nah, I don't want to die. But...we hafta do somethin', y'know? Before we die from lack of sleep."

Maddie nodded and replied "yep it's either die in your sleep or out've it" she stood thinking for awhile and suddenly piped up "I think the scientists are working on something to help,I overheard them when they were speaking the Mayer"

This made Rafael stand straighter. "Really?! Let's go to them." He was not slow to start heading to the town hall building immediately, a sudden rush of adrenilene powering through his blood.
