A few minutes later David sat up with a yawn. He blinked blearily and glanced around, spotting Dawn. "Morning." He muttered with a small smile.
Shay fell silent, quickly wiping away her tears. "I'm sorry...You need to get help. We need to go back to the apartment.." -
Dawn jumped and blushed deeply, seeing that David had finally woke up. She closed the sketch book quickly. "G-good morning David." She smiled a bit at him.
Alexander helped wipe her tears away. He fell silent and shook her head lightly. "I set the place on fire..." he mumbled lightly. "But I have another place where we could go..." -
"What were you drawing?" He asked curiously, standing and stretching with another yawn.
She nodded. "Anywhere I can heal you." -
She blushed more and hugged the sketch pad to her chest. "N-nothing. I was j-just drawing."
He smiled lightly and made his wings appear, he started to fly up slowly and winced a bit. "Come on I'll show you." -
"Come on, show me." He leaned towards her, grinning, and reached out. "Please?"
Shay's wings appeared as well, and she quickly followed him. -
She blushed deeply and let go of the sketch pad lightly, holding it out to him, her hands shaking a bit.
He flew for a few more moments, dodging a few buildings until he came to another condo, but it was different from the other one. His wings disappeared and he sat on the balcony. -
David took the pad and carefully opened it. His eyes widened and the sight of the drawing and he stood there silent for a moment. But then he smiled widely at her. "Dawn, this is amazing..."
She landed next to him, quickly dragging him inside. "Where are your bandages?" -
She blushed crimson. "L-liar it isn't t-that good D-david." She wringed her hands nervously as she looked at him. He didn't seem like he was lying to her.
"The bandages...are in the bathroom..." he mumbled lightly as he leaned against the wall next to the balcony. -
David chuckled and shook his head. "You're the liar. This is really, really good."
Shay rushed to grab them, quickly returning to his side. She began to treat the wounds as gently as possible. "I'm sorry this happened..." She whispered. -
She blushed more, even if that was possible as she shot up from the chair she was sitting in. "I-I better go make b-breakfast!" She got out of the room quickly, trying to find something she could make.
He hissed lightly and looked at her, smiling a bit. "It's okay Shay. I wanted to protect you, I needed to protect you." -
David stood up and followed her, stepping over the broken-down door. He'd have to fix that later...But for now, food. His stomach growled loudly to prove the point and he blushed slightly.
"I-I had it under control..." She lied with a smile, hoping to convince him. "I would've been fine..." -
She laughed lightly as she started cooking a bit, making pancake mix from scratch. She hummed lightly as she worked.
He shook his head. "You're a terrible liar..." he mumbled as his eyes closed a bit. -
David grinned, surprising himself. He enjoyed the sound of her laugh. A lot. And last night, he'd actually felt something towards her...Attraction? He shook his head to himself. No, that was crazy...
Shay sighed and helped him into the bedroom. "You should rest." She said quietly. -
When she finally finished she placed his plate on the counter, blushing a bit at seeing his smile. "You should...s-smile more..." she mumbled lightly as she started making her own plate.
He smiled lightly and when he sat down onto the bed, pulling her down with him. "Shay...please say with me..." -
David tilted his head a smiled again, a little surprised, but still happy. "So should you."
Shay glanced down. "I thought you wanted me gone..." She mumbled quietly.
