Effie sat down and watched as Haymitched worked on him.
Rayna let more tears fall down her face, knowing that she might have to watch Hunter die in the games. -
Haymitch administered the shot of Novocaine. He gasped, not expecting the needle. Haymitch shushed him. He quickly re-wrapped the injury. He fetched a glass of water, a sedative from the round, jar-like bottle, and a painkiller.

"Should I go get Rayna for you Hunter?" Effie offers.

"Please." Hunter let out.
Haymitch waited for her. -
Effie nodded as she stood up and walked to Rayna's room. "Rayna?" Effie asks. Rayna turns to look at Effie and it looks as if Rayna wasn't even crying at all. "Hunter would like to see you."

Hunter let out a small gasp as the Novocaine took over his knee. It was a relief, though there was some pain hidden under it.

Rayna walked out to Hunter and sat down next to him. "How are you feeling?" she asks worried.

"Haymitch is doing better than the medics." He put out his arms.
Haymitch smirked. "hurry, lovebirds. Hunter needs rest, with this," he showed the sedative shot, "And this," he exposed the painkiller. -
Rayna stuck her tounge our at Haymitch and rested her head on Hunters shoulders. "Let's just crash out here tonight," she says.

Hunter nodded.
"I'm serious," Haymitch stated. -
Rayna looked at haymitch confused and sat up. "Maybe I should..."

"No, you can stay, but Hunter needs to go to sleep." Haymitch nodded, handing Hunter the glass and the painkiller.

Rayna nodded, really out of it and laid her head on his shoulder again, taking Hunters free hand.

Hunter took the painkiller. Out of nowhere, Haymitch administered the sedative. Hunter let out a breath as Haymitch threw the empty shot in the garbage.

"Shh... it's okay," Rayna says, burring her face into Hunters chest.
