"Yeah, all because he had to come pick me up from Zoey's while it was raining..." She mumbled, sounding regretful.

He licked her hand gently and shook his head. "Don't be upset he'd do anything to keep you safe."

She smiled softly and petted him. "I know, I just wish there was more I could do to help him."

He purred more and licked her hand happily. "You're fine with what you're doing." He tugged at the blanket on the ground.

Saphirre nodded, knowing he was right. All she could do now was sit and wait for the medicine to take effect. She picked up the blanket and draped it over him.

Daniel stirred in his sleep and mumbled, coughing lightly. Ron blinked at her. "Feed me."

Saphirre laughed slightly at his bluntness. "Alright." She went to the cabinet and started looking for a can of cat food.

He jumped onto the counter and waited patiently for his food to appear when the phone rang. Daniel was still passed out on the couch, not even bothered by the ringing of the phone.

Saphirre quickly picked it up. "Hello?" She balanced the phone to her ear with her shoulder, using her hands to open up the can and put the food into Ron's dish.

"Hi little bird. How's your head hm?" Zoey's voice came over the phone. Ron started eating his food happily. The puppy's barks could be heard in the background.

"...Awful." She admitted. "But I'll be fine. I'm really sorry about last night..." She blushed slightly, embarrased. "I didn't do anything too bad did I? I don't really remember..."

Zoey chuckled lightly. "No dear you did nothing bad." She smiled a bit. "How's Daniel doing?"

Saphirre sighed. "He's sick from being out in the rain. He's got a cough and it doesn't sound good." She said with a slight frown.

"He'll be fine dear, just a bit of a cold." A small laughter came over the phone. "Just be careful hon, how you looked at him yesterday was a very hungered look."

Saphirre blushed feircely. "God, you don't think he would do something to me while I was drunk, do you?" She glanced at Daniel and tried to remember last night's events, but came up empty handed. She had woken up next to him...
