"You intrigue me. I'd like to know more about you." He replied simply. "Is that unexpected? You did say something quite peculiar to me. Nobody has ever thanked me for anything."
-
Scarlet seemed a little shocked be his confession. "It was quiet unexpected but... No one has ever wanted to know more about me," she says quietly.
-
"I don't see why not. You're quite the person." Syriel looked at her. "You intrigue me more so than anyone ever has before. I don't think I could kill you if I tried."
-
Scarlet's stomach dropped at the word kill but she tried to not let it show on her face. "Well, thank you for not wanting to kill me," she says, trying to make a joke to make herself feel better. She was never very good with jokes.
-
"See! There you go again. Thinking me for something. Why?" He leaned close to her, letting his hood fall. "Why do you thank me for things that aren't with thanking for? I didn't do you any favors." He chuckled, leaning back. "Then again, I don't really do favors in general."
-
"Well, one, you don't want to kill me, so I'm glad that my blood isn't spilled on the floor right now," Scarlet started, feeling a little better talking to Syriel. "So, I call that a favor. And besides," she says looking away towards the floor. "No one ever does anything nice for me."
-
His eyes softened. "I would never want to see your blood spilled anywhere." He said softly. What was wrong with him? He should have killed this girl by now! Yet he couldn't... "I can try to do nice things for you... I've never done anything nice before though." He looked at her intently. What made her so different?
-
Scarlet shrugs as she walks over and sits on her bed. She looks down at her hands, a habit that she's gotten into thanks to her parents. "I believe that we're all capable of doing the right thing... it's just that some people just choose not to."
-
"If that's so then I have never made a right choice." Besides leaving her alive. But Syriel didn't dare say that out loud. He thought it was odd to see her shrug, but he didn't mind. He did a lot of shrugging himself.
-
"Maybe you did, and you just didn't know it was right," Scarlet states. She looks up at Syriel, not knowing what to say next.
-
"Maybe. Maybe..." Syriel trailed off. "Say, what do you have planned for... the next week or so?" He was going to invite her to the house in the woods. It might be crazy, but he was going to do it.
-
Scarlet casts him a weird look. "Planned?" she asked. She shrugs and looks back down. "I don't know... Homework... something useless that needs to be done," she answers. Then she looks back up. "Why do you ask?"
-
Syriel looked to the side. "I was wondering... if you..." He paused. "Would you like to come to the house in the woods with me?" He asked, a little sheepishly.
-
Scarlet was honestly shocked by his question. Did she? He said that he wouldn't want to see her blood spilt, but he could be lying? 'Not like the world would miss me if i were gone,' she thought. "Sure," she says, possibly a little to fearless.
-
Syriel smiled. Not a murderous smile, like the one he normally did, but a real, genuine smile. "Is there anything you'd like to take with you or...?" He questioned. He wanted her to be as comfortable as possible there... after all, he hoped she would get along with Syreen.
(New character! That's his sister. She and him live in the house in the woods. :3)
