Jake watched the meteor and chuckled, it was close now. he knew he would survive either way, but that girl. he walked towards her, wondering if she saw it.

Nyx jumped up, pulling a dagger out of her belt loop, smiling with those sharp, sharp teeth. "Yes?" She examined the man, but her eyes waivered to the meteor.

"you see it do you not, why do you not run... to safety?" Jake said quietly.
(sidenote: he is british) -
"Running is for fleers. I am no fleer." Her green eyes glowed like the meteor. "They're coming after me, you know. But I won't flee." Her dagger was still pointed at his chest.

Jake spoke with no fear "you arent a fleer yet you are willing to kill me. would it be worth it?" he put his hand around the dagger altering it to be blunt while he did so, he then bent it halfway down the blade

"Damn it. I need this dagger, you know!" She smiled, her whole hand bursting into flame. "I wouldn't kill you if I didn't know what side you are on." She stepped closer, pushing her other hand into his chest, the one that wasn't ignited. "Tell me, which are you on?"

"i suppose i am nuetral. for now." Jake said as he extenguished the fire.

The fire kept recurring, as she controlled it infinatelly. She let it extinguish into a small flame, and pushed it into his chest. "You will always be on my side." She pulled out a dagger, grabbed his wrist, and lightly cut it, enough to get his blood on her dagger. Smiling, she flew away, turning invisible.

"son of a b----" said jack. as he walked away.

She burst out laughing, hearing him. She flew down on top of a building.

-4 hours later after the meteor hit-
Jack searched a building, abandoned of course. ha found a rusty kitchen knife, slipping it into his belt. -
Nyx was in a weapondry, picking up more daggers and throwing nice, all made out of obisidan, steel, silver, or gold. She smiled. She could smell the radioactive gasses in the atmosphere. Her fires would be more out of control than ever, and they all would be as powerful as the meteor that hit, radioactive and dangerous. She smiled, loving the moment.

Jack then left the building. sensing someone else was close he looked around, confused as he hadn't seen anyone since the meteor had hit.

She exited the building. She was pondering if she should go into the thermosphere or not. The heat wouldn't hurt her, but she needed some more supplies, and she couldn't stay there forever.

Jack knew he needed to go back home. but he only had a weeks worth of food and drink left. he decided to go back anyway.
