Arcelio nodded again, then looked away to finish the last numbers of the electric bill. Once that was finished, and it only took a few seconds, he set him pencil down and sucked in a breath. "Okay. I'm just going to go freshen up a bit, stay here. Okay?"
-
Arcelio stood, and hesitated, before leaning iver to set a hand on one side of Rosario's head and then kiss the top of his hair gently. In a way, it was more than just nice to have him back. With that, he went to the master bedroom to change into clean clothes and comb his hair.
-
Arcelio changed into slightly casual clothes; skinny blue jeans (he was trying to be more dad-like lately so he wore blue jeans now, though he couldn't imagine himself looking good if they were baggy), a white tee-shirt and an unbottoned plaid flannel. He came back out of the bedroom, stopping at the front door to slip on shoes, before going back to the kitchen to get Rosario. "Alright, I'm ready. Sure you don't need anything to eat before we go? Need to go to the bathroom?"
(Arcelio's turning into a dad he even makes sure they go to the bathroom) -
(Agh I thought it was your turn ;-;)
"Alright," Arcelio breathed, and figuring Rosario was too old now to hold his hand, he simply started walking to lead the boy to the front door and out to the car. -
He led the boy to the car, opening the passenger side door for him before jogging around the front to the driver's side. He slid into the seat, putting the key in the ignition.
-
Once Rosario's door was shut and the boy was sitting, Arcelio backed the car out, starting the drive in awkward silence.
-
Arcelio had driven for a couple minutes, and just as they were pulling out onto a bigger road, he glanced over at Rosario. "Woah woah, hey, can you buckle up? Please?"
-
He blinked, as the boy seemed entirely indifferent to move, but ended up sighing and leaning over to do it for him. The light of the intersection turned green, and a car behind them honked, but Arcelio didn't start driving again until Rosario was safely secured.
-
The honk made him jump a bit, as he still wasn't used to loud sounds. Rosario felt uncomfortable, being so close to someone as Arcelio buckled him up, but he didn't move or say anything about it.
-
Arcelio patted Ro's thigh after he was finished and he sat back up, going right back to driving. The cars behind him ended up getting stuck behind the red light, and he snorted, thinking that was what they got for honking.
-
Rosario frowned, disliking the fact that he had been touched. He couldn't figure out why, though. He couldn't figure out a lot of things, or remember them, actually. For some reason, he knew he needed to ask about things. The first thing that popped into his head, for whatever reason, was "Is Archer dead?"
-
Arcelio frowned, his heart stopping for a moment. Him and Rayson had long ago promised to never say that name again, so hearing it was like a curse word. "Yes, he is."
-
"Who killed him? Did Ray- ..Did Dad do it?" He corrected himself mid sentence. He remembered when he had wanted, with all his heart, for Archer to kill his father. Everything was so messed up now. "Corrin is still alive, you know. He's a good guy, though," He said, more to himself.
-
"No," Arcelio breathed, turning a corner to drive into a parking lot in front of the strip mall. "Daniel did." He sighed out, "Is he? Is that who you've been with?"
-
(strip mall)
Rosario shook his head. "No. I was just.." He paused, and inhaled. "I don't know where I was."
