Drake didn't know how he'd go about getting into the truck without putting Rosario in first, and so he had to. He lifted the boy up, and set him in a sitting position against one wall. Then, he climbed in himself, and sat against the same wall so that he could pull Ro into his lap.
Arcelio couldn't help but smile proudly, not taking his eyes off of the child. It wasn't long before the baby pushed the bottle away, and Arcelio set it in the cup holder while he lifted the baby up to burp him. -
As soon as Rosario and Drake were in, the man shut the door, and locked it. It was a few more minutes before he was in the front seat, and the van began to move. It was shortly after that when Rosario began to stir, coughing and complaining about a pain in his head.
When the baby was down, Rayson was just pulling into Drake's house. "I'll be right back," He mumbled, and got out, going to knock on the door. -
Drake moved himself and Rosario into a corner, so that they wouldn't stir too much while the truck drove. He wasn't sure when Rosario was going to wake up, so when he felt the boy stir, he whispered, "Ro?"
Arcelio opted to wait in the car, cradling the child. It wasn't long before he fell asleep in Arcelio's arms, mouth open and breathing loudly.
Drake's father answered the door, dressed in underwear and a dress shirt, evidentally in the middle of getting ready for work. "Hi, Rayson. Can I help you?" -
The boy couldn't see much in the darkness, but he felt the movement of the van, and flashed back to when Archer had traveled that way with him. He panicked for a moment, but then, hearing Drake's voice, calmed down a bit. "Yeah."
Rayson tried not to glance the man up and down, keeping his eyes on the man's face. "Ah, yeah, my son's here? Rosario?" -
Drake breathed a little sigh of relief, holding an arm around the younger. "Okay," was all he could think to say.
"Hm... Oh, yeah! I think he is, I saw him here last night. Maybe he did stay over night. Come on in," the man said, opening the door all of the way to let Rayson in. "I'll go get them, there's coffee in the kitchen if you want." -
Rosario snuggled into his chest, closing his eyes. After a moment, his body began to rock with sobs. "No! I c-c-can't.. Can't.." He sucked in a breath, trailing off.
"Alright," He responded, stepping into the house, but he waved off the offer for coffee. After a second, he cleared his throat, asking, "Uh, do you, um.. Know if they're.. Active?" -
Drake knew that this would be an extremely stressful situation for both of them, so when Rosario started sobbing, he gave his back a rub in circles, staying quiet and kissing the top of his head.
After the door was closed, Drake's father took in a thoughtful breath. "... Boys will be boys. Would you prefer if we gave them a moment? Or maybe we could just knock?" -
It took him a little while to calm down, and when he did, he pulled away from Drake. "I don't want to be here. I want to go home. I want my mom."
"..And that means they're active, right?" Rayson sighed, and shook his head. "Just knock." -
(Are you ready for a plot twist?)
Drake was feeling increasingly guilty for having not done more to keep them out of the situation they were in. He breathed, "I know. We'll get home soon."
"More than likely." He nodded, and without another word, he went upstairs. He knocked, but didn't get a reply. "Boys?" Without getting a reply for that, he sighed. "Rayson, I'm afraid that they're either asleep and not dressed or they're not in there. Either case is bad but I don't want to walk in on them... Not decent." -
(Yeah?)
"No, we wont. I lived there for five years, Drake. There's no way out unless they let you out."
"..Well, I really need Rosario. Can you, like, peek in?" Rayson bit his lip, hoping they were just asleep. -
(Good becuz i haz an idea)
"But your dad got out. I'm sure we could figure it out. And either way, it seems like we'll be there together... So maybe it won't be so bad."
"Uhm, sure." He grimaced, shuffled his feet, but eventually stepped forward and opened the door. Empty. "Rayson-" he called, and then stopped, to think. "Can you come up here?" -
"They're going to make a kill people! I can't do that, Drake!"
Rayson sighed, and came up the steps, fearing the worst. -
Drake didn't know how to make a good situation out of that at all, so he tried again for saying they'd get out of it. "No, really, I'll find us a way home. I'm sure of it, Boo."
Drake's dad stood behind the door of the boy's bedroom, with it only open enough to let Rayson in when he came up. "In here," he said. -
(I have a bad feeling about Drake's dad I don't trust him tbh)
Not wanting to argue, Rosario was silent, sitting up to press his lips to Drake's, after struggling to find them in the darkness. "I'm.. Um, surprisingly, hungry."
"Alright," He muttered, moving to slip into the room, frowning at it being empty. "They left for school already..?" -
(hahahahaHa horny dad)
After returning the kiss, Drake couldn't help but sigh a little. "Sorry, I haven't got anything."
(I'm naming his dad for convenience)
Anthony shut the door behind Rayson, and moved to stand next to him, facing the empty bed. "Yeah. I guess so. So they're off and safe at school. Ray, are you married?" He asked, with a smile.
