"Well, I can't say no to promise, now can I?" She sighed with a grin and cut him another piece, handing it to him a bit cautiously. She then cut herself another small piece and say down next to him.

He laughed and started to eat his piece of cake happily, not even planning to throw the piece of cake at her. He glanced over at her and smiled lightly.

She took a bite and watched him. "Is it good?" She asked, momentarily forgetting that her mouth was full.

He chuckled lightly. "Yes, it is. I haven't had chocolate in years." He kept eating the rest of his piece of cake. "You should bake more."

Maria laughed. "No chocolate in years? That must've been painful. And I will bake more, if you want me to." She offered with a small smile. She was glad that vampire was gone, and that things were safe again. She was glad Sebastian looked so happy.

"It was...my mom loved chocolate when I was little. I always saw her sneakinga piece when my father wasn't looking." He sighed. "I miss them both really..." he blinked and snapped out of his remembering. "Yes, I would love it if you baked more."

She looked at him sympathetically. "I'm sorry...about your parents." Maria knew what it was like to lose a parent, but at least her mother was probably still alive somewhere. Sebastian had lost both his parents.

He smiled a bit. "It's okay...My mother has been gone longer than my father has, but it's nice to remember them. They were great parents." He looked at her. "What about your family...?"

"I lost my father when I was young." Maria said with a slight sigh. "Vampires." She explained. "My mother and brother are probably still alive, but I haven't seen either of them in years..."

He thought for a moment. "We the whole...Night Clans first began I'm guessing? My father hated that the other Night Clans didn't allow humans as apart of it..." when he heard she hadn't seen her mother or brother in a long time a thought came to mind. "I could...find them for you."

Maria's eyes widened. "You...you could do that?" She asked, almost not believing what she heard. "I don't even know if they're alive anymore..."

He chuckled and grinned. "Of course I can do that. I'm a police chief, I'm able to access any records I need to." He pulled her into a hug. "I'd do anything to make you happy Maria. They probably are, but that still means I want to find them."

She leaned into him. "If you found them...it would be amazing." She brushed a stray curl behind her ear and smiled. -
It's okay! My niece is gone so no disappearing for me.)
He nuzzled her neck and smiled. "As I said, I want to do anything that makes you happy Maria." He grinned evily and started tickling her sides. -

Maria shrieked and began laughing, trying to squirm away but trapped in his arms. "H-Hey! S-Stop that!" She protested between giggles, trying to push his hands away.
