She frowned. "I thought we weren't keeping things from each other anymore." She pressed her body a little closer to his, it was slightly cold in the house and he was warm. "I won't be scared."

He blushed deeply and buried his face into her hair. "It's nothing Maria just please...go back to sleep." He muttered lightly. "I'm not keeping anything from you. It will never happen, as you said it was just a nightmare..."

"If it was just a nightmare than why are you so reluctant to tell me?" She asked. "Sebastian, it was enough to have you crying, I just want to know what's wrong..." Maria rested her head lightly on his chest.

A growl came from his throat. "I watched you die okay?! Clark killed you right in front of me!" His eyes changed quickly to purple and he panicked, slipping out of Maria's grip.

Maria was speechless for a moment. She watched him cautiously and little nervously as his eyes flashed to purple again. "It was just a dream though." She said in a small voice. "I'm right here, I won't leave." She took his hand carefully and looked up at him.

He blinked slowly, but his eyes didn't change back from their purple color. He looked down at her hand and shook his head. A low whine escaped from the back of his throat. Clark already didn't like him, if he found out he was going to have a family, he'd kill someone.

"Sebastian, please..." She gingerly reached out and placed her hand on his cheek, looking straight into his still-purple eyes. "Calm down." She said, although it came out more like a beg. Maria squeezed his hand gently.

He flinched lightly when her hand was placed on his cheek. A rumble came from his throat and nuzzled her hand. He squeezed her hand back and his eyes slowly started to change back.

Maria took a shaky breath and waited to see if he was alright. She didn't want a repeat of the last time his eyes changed, but she didn't want to just leave him alone either. So she stayed and waited. He didn't seem violent or too angry, which was good.

He opened his eyes and they were their wonderful blue again. He nuzzled her hand again and growled playfully. "Thank you..."

She smiled and hugged him, glad he was back to himself. She pulled away and pecked him on the lips. "I'm just glad you're okay." She looked a little wistful. "I hate seeing you like that."

He smiled and blushed a bit when she pecked him on the lips. "I'm sorry for worrying you..."

Maria shook her head. "It's fine, you didn't mean it." She giggled slightly at the blush dusting his face.

He smiled, the blush was still there on his cheeks as he leaned forwards and kissed her gently, entangling his fingers into her hair.

She was blushing too now, as she kissed him back. Maria loved having him home with her for the day, just being able to spend time with him.
