Maria smiled, seeing Sadie hold her up perfectly. She was glad Sadie was so good with the baby, and she hoped once they were older they would still get along so well.
-
Sadie blinked and held Delilah out to Sebastian as he held her carefully.
-
Maria watched him happily. It seemed like only yesterday she had announced to him that she was pregnant, and now he was holding their little girl.
-
He saw that Delilah was smiling at him, her gums showing. He chuckled and kissed her forehead.
-
Maria chuckled slightly at the baby's bright smile. She already seemed to adore Sebastian.
-
He walked with her and hummed lightly, trying to get the little baby to fall asleep, which she did. He smiled at her and placed the baby down in the crib.
-
"You're so good with her." Maria noticed with a smile, watching Delilah sleep peacefully.
-
He blushed ligntly and walked out of the room, Sadie following in awe at how she got Delilah to go to sleep.
-
Maria smiled and stayed in Delilah's room. If she woke up hungry or crying she wanted to be there.
-
The older Delilah appeared, looking at her younger self out of anger. "You cared more for me back when I was a baby then now."
-
Maria looked away and fell silent. She knew her apologies would fall on deaf ears. As promised herself she would change things in the future, and hopefully fix whatever she'd done to older Delilah.
-
She glared at Maria. "I still hate you, I'll always hate you." She growled lowly at her. "Aren't you going to try and say sorry to me?"
-
Maria felt more tears stinging her eyes at Delilah's harsh words. She shook her head, still remaining silent.
-
Sadie ran into the room and actually hugged Delilah. "Don't be mean to mommy! Mommy is a kind and nice lady and you need to not be rude!"
-
Maria glanced up in surprise and watched Sadie closely. She was touched that the little girl was standing up for her.
