He nodded and started eating his sandwich happily. "I still say it wasn't your fault Maria."

She raised an eyebrow. "So you're saying getting thrown up on didn't bother you at all?" She was grinning just slightly, teasingly.

He looked up at her and shook his head. "You didn't mean to throw up on me, it was those stupid pills."

Maria grimaced. "Yeah, I'm glad to be rid of those awful things." She said, taking a bite of her own sub.

"Same here Maria, your mood swings were terrible." He chuckled lightly and finished his sandwich.

She stuck her tongue out at him childishly, but laughed slightly. "Yeah, trust me I didn't enjoy then either..."

He stuck his tongue back out at her and laughed. "Well at least you're better."

She laughed slightly and nodded. "Thanks again for taking me into the city with you. I really had a lot of fun."

"Well if you ever wanted to get out of this manor, all you have to do is ask." He grinned playfully.

She grinned back, but there was an underlying hint of worry when she spoke. "Well I wouldn't want to run into any...less friendly things." She still remembered that night with the manticore all too well.

He sighed and knew what she was thinking if. "That circle of rocks can protect you from anything in the forest that is evil. Also it's easy access to the garden..." he blinked and swore. "Crap I forgot about the garden."

Maria smiled a little. "My family used to have a garden before...before we were separated. I could take care of it as part of work." She offered, happy to change the subject.

He grinned. "I'll show you it right now." He took her hand and walked her to the back door. "Close your eyes."

Maria looked a little skeptical, but obediantly placed her other hand over her eyes, letting Sebastian lead her along. She gripped his other hand tightly.

He grinned and took her outside to a wonderful and magnificent garden with every flower under the sun along with vegetables and fruits everywhere.
