"A motel, keep the blanket on." She let go of his hand and looked out the window.

"Okay." He woke his brother, warning him of the sun.

Anna came back with two room keys. "They didn't have any more two bed bedrooms, and I know Zander's okay with that... but that won't be a problem for the two of you, will it?" she asked, her question directed toward Kayle and Steph.

Kayle shook his head. "I just wanna get in the shower. So that's fine with me."

It looked weird to see one of the lumps shaking its upper part, but she shrugged and handed Steph one of the keys.

The two lumps carefully got out and peeked out to follow their girls.

The girls led the lumps to their rooms. Fortunately, they were next to each other and had connecting doors.

Zander closed the blinds and hopped into bed, relaxing in the soft mattress.
Kayle immediately went to shower off the days of dirt and grime from his body and hair. -
Anna flopped down next to him and Steph investigated.

Zander smiled and stroked her hair. "We'll keep moving until he can't ever reach us."

She stared up at the ceiling. "I doubt he'll search for too long..."

"His daughter ran off with a vampire. I'm sure he'll want her back."

"He lost my aunt to one, too. Not in the same way, but... still." She sighed.

"One killed your aunt? Probably a newbie or a not as experienced one. But still a murder none the less.." He sighed and snuggled up to Anna.

She nodded and cuddled up with him. "I have no idea what I'm going to do at this point."
