She was tempted to ask them what had happened to them, but restrained herself.

It let our a small puff of air as a sigh. Master Blackwater's father did this to us. He tried to being his wife back and well...as you can see that didn't happen.

So his parents are gone, too, she thought. "Oh."

It nodded. He has been trying ever since to get our bodies back. it glanced up. "That's enough Fera." Gregory was leaning against the door frame. He looked a bit angry. Fera disappeared quickly.

"I was figuring out our journey for tomorrow." She held up the map.

He nodded lightly and sighed. "What did Fera tell you Jessa?"

"That we're both orphans, or, at least, that you're a half-orphan." The loving girl wasn't here anymore. She was expected the worst from him, and was totally prepared to stand her ground or fight back. "I didn't ask her."

He walked over and looked at the map."I have no family. If I did, that man would have taken them from me."

She didn't know how to respond. "She also told me that your father tried to bring back your mother, and that's why the wisps are the way they are."
