She looked at the swirls. "Should we go check on him... is that normal?" she asked in an alarmed tone.

One swirl started to float out of the library. It would be smart to.

She followed the swirl down the hall, actually walking past it due to concern. You're supposed to kill him, why do you care?

The swirl finally got to the door and it swung open, he walked out covered in ash and wearing a pair of goggles. "Hm...maybe I shouldn't have tested that yet." He blinked and saw her. "Oh I see you heard to boom." He chuckled lightly.

"Is this a normal thing for you?" she asked.

He flashed a pure white smile and laughed. "Yeah. I'm usually doing new magic experiments. That one was to help protect me from any weapon but...it didn't work." He removed the goggles from his face.

Good. "Do you need help cleaning anything up?" She looked past him into the workshop.

He blocked the door way. "It's fine. Just go back to the library."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I'm sure. Now get back to the library."

She gave him a real, terrifying-assassin glare. Then slunk off to the library again.

He wasn't really affected by the glare and he walked back into his workshop.

She went back to alphabetizing books.

Gregory started to mess around in his workshop again.
Swirls danced around her and picked up the books she had already alphabetized, placing them back on their rightful shelves. -
"Thanks," she murmured distractedly. She was standing on top of the table, trying to reach the tops of stacks that he'd no doubt created with his magic.
