Mary was on fire, literally on fire. A few demons looked at her in amazement. Her flames were a bright blue, not melting anything around her. A few demons were stupid and tried to attack her again, but were burnt to a crisp. She started running where she saw something crash to the concrete. She was getting closer.
-
Damien now laid sprawled over the man he had fallen through the portal with. Damien tried to breath, but he was pretty sure he had broken his rips. Rolling onto his back he looked at the sky and tried to speak as blood bubbled in his mouth.
-
She saw Damien and almost broke down. She didn't want him dead, not now, not ever. "Damien!!!" She ran and skidded near him. She bent down and bit her lip, she didn't know how to heal, but she sure as hell was going to try. She placed her hands gently on him as the blue fire spread over his chest. She wanted him back to normal, not hurt. She kept concentrating. The demons watched her carefully, some hoped she would fail.
-
"Mary.." He gurgled softly and closed his eyes. He felt her fire but soon went numb. He wasn't sure if it was healing or not, he just watched her with pain filled eyes.
-
Tears started rolling down her face. "I-I'm sorry I yelled at y-you. P-please don't leave me....please." Her fire heated up more and she heard bones snapping back into place. Her eyes widened and she concentrated more. The demons kept watching, the ones who wanted her to fail started to change their opinion.
-
Damien whined in pain, it was a dull pain as his bones found where they belonged but it didn't stop him from making a noise of small protest. He shivered as he felt the blood leave his lungs and fill with air. "Mary..!" He grasped as he sucked in a full breath of fresh air.
-
She smiled behind the blue flames as the flicked around her form. Tears streamed down her face. "You idiot, I told you, I'm not letting you die on me."
The demons watched them, wondering what the would do next. -
"I told you I would come back." He whispered softly and grabbed her face. "Don't doubt me." He chuckled and kissed her hard on the lips, pulling her towards him flame an all.
-
The flames dissipated quickly when his lips hit hers. She closed her eyes and kissed him back happily. The demons blinked in surprise as he did that, but they accepted it anyways. They looked at the other man beside the two.
-
Damien sat up, and winced slightly as he softly pushed Mary away from him. He looked towards the man on the side of him, his neck twisted at a wrong angle. He looked simular to Damien except his teeth were an odd black color and sharp to the points. His skin was tinted red and felt rough under hand. Damien had killed a demon, or, his father.
-
Mary blinked lightly and looked back at the other demons. They all looked almost normal, except for them either having wings, sharp teeth, and odd eyes. It was...odd seeing all the new demon things.
-
Damien laid back down and held his face in his hands. "They will die soon." He said softly, the demons would die and then dissolve into the black goo. A small demon, a Fledgling that looked like a stone dog with wings crept towards them with a curiose sniff. Damien growled low in his throat very softly.
-
Mary tilted her head lightly and reached her hand out to the winged dog thing. She patted it's head lightly, unafraid of if it would bite her or not. The demons muttered amongst themselves about his comment on dying.
-
Damien raised an eyebrow and sighed. "I forgot, they like you." He rolled his eyes and laid back down. He threw an arm over his face and sighed softly. The creature wagged it's stony tail and whined happily, shoving it's head under her arm.
-
She giggled lightly and kept patting it's head. "I'm sorry I can't keep you, I don't think Damien or my landlord would like a dog in my apartment." The other demons soon shot off quickly.
