"Not really," he agreed as he washed his hands. He got out the pan and cracked a few eggs into it. "You said you had a few questions that you wanted to ask this morning?"

"Oh yes", she said remembering, "Well, first of all, how does the whole God thing work?"

"Um... Well, angels are usually in charge. There's a council of more powerful angels. They're the closest thing to a god, really." He shrugged.

"And what happens after we die?"

"You become an angel, usually. There are a few exceptions where people don't want to. In that case, they go to hell or they slowly stop existing completely. Or they become what humans call ghosts."

"Yikes", she shuddered at the thought of never resting, "So you can't choose to cease from existence?"

"Well, you can choose it, but it's gradual. There's no way for it to be immediate." He turned to her. "Do you want toast?"

"Yes, toast is good", she tilted her head as she recalled all her questions, "Hmmm..I think that's about it"

He went to grab the toaster, his wings arching up a bit as he grabbed it from one of the cabinets beneath the counter. "By the way, good angels don't have these pure, white wings. Think of the most beautiful, colorful bird wings, and somehow make them more beautiful. Oh, and put them on the back of a humanoid. The worse you get, the greyer your wings get, until there's no color left."

She frowned as her eyes scanned his wings, they were grey and she struggled to find any traces of colour, No, that's not right, there should be colour on his then, he was too good for grey. His wings should be bursting with colour..
"I don't think that system works very well, if that's true then your wings should be bursting with colour" -
"They were bright fall colors to begin with. A lot of orange and brown. They're still a little brown, in my opinion." He plugged in the toaster.

She frowned, They should be brighter than brown., "Oh wait! There was another one, umm...how does the whole guradian angel thing work?"

"Sometimes an angel is assigned multiple... uh... clients. They go back and forth. Your doesn't appear to have checked on you in a while though, which is a little concerning."

She shrugged, "Maybe their busy with someone else, not like I'm in trouble anyway"

"Yeah, but they should check up on you more... They can tell if there's going to be trouble, though." He thought about it.
