Huh, weird.Anyway I was taught to do it by some tutors, human and mermaids/mermen. I was always uncomfortable around them, but accepted the fact it may come handy, took me 9 years to figure it out. -
"Ya, familiar name?" I asked him. "She was the ruler of the Ocean. Then she was pregnant with me. She dies after she gave birth to me and everyone started a riot about it. I heard they tried to kill me!

Derik thought about what his father might have meant, when he saw a sunset revealing and no one on the beach. He changed back to merman form and went to a rock he sat on the day before.

I walked along the beach trying to find the perfect rock. Then I found a beautiful pink rock gleaming in the sunlight and it had little spikes. My nails turned bright pink and I looked around. Derik was sitting on a rock. I screamed in my head and bit at my nail hoping it would change colors again. They did change colors. They turned Indigo. I sighed and started brushing my hair with the pink rock.
(I change colors to my mood. Red: Love, Orange: Nervous, Yellow: Cautious , Green: Sick, Blue: Cold and Down, Indigo: Mixed Emotions, Violet: Party Mode, Pink: Like(not love), Fuschia: Unsure) -
