The bus started to fill up with black fog. All of a sudden I got really hot. So hot the pain was unbearable. I let out a scream, and hut before the world went black, I heard also the screams of Wes, Florence, and Diana.
(Kidnapped!) -
Anyone?)
-
I clung to Connor, but the black fog ripped me away. "No!" I screamed. "Wesley!" Connor yelled.

Demigod dreams. They're always the worst, because they're hardly regular dreams. Mostly visions of the past, present, or future. Which is why I never really liked sleeping as a kid.
I was in New York. The enemy post, by all the monsters around. I felt for my knife, but it wasn't there.
"Oh, we've taken all your weapons, of course. It just wouldn't do to have you destroy my army before the battle's even begun."
I turned around, and snarled. Sitting on a makeshift throne was Luke- no, Kronos, eating away at an apple. I wanted to kill him.
"Don't be like that, Wesley. You still have time to join me."
"I've told you already, Kronos. I refuse." Why wouldn't I wake up already?!
"You're not dreaming, Wesley. You really are here."
"Then where are my friends?" I growled. "What have you done to them?"
Kronos acted surprised and hurt. "Only sleeping. You see, we had to take a few hostages. I didn't pick anyone myself- except for you. You're quite a demigod, you know. Skilled at hiding in the shadows- you learn everything."
"I will never work for you." -
I never realized just how much demigod dreams suck.
First this insane burning smoke attacks. All I remember is a scream and then black. Next thing I know I'm in a dream. I don't know how I could tell, I just could. Unlike the others, I didn't dream a lot. But it was hard to see. There was a thick fog wherever I was. I remember wandering aimlessly until I found three figures. I nearly sobbed when I recognized them. The first was Luke Castellan, but he looked different. His features were etched into a hard expression, his eyes searing gold. Next to him stood a kid with an eyepatch, I didn't recognize him. But that wasn't the worst of it. Kneeling before them was a small trembling little boy, with thick, slightly shaggy dark hair. He looked up, his baby blue eyes filled with terror. I tried to run forward but was knocked back by some invisible force. Tears ran down my face freely as I screamed for the boy. "Charlie! Charlie!"
Kronos had my little brother. -
(Oh gods. A little boy...)
"Take Miss Taylor to the others." Kronos told the kid with the eyepatch. I remembered him from Camp, mostly because he got stuck in Hermes, because he was the son of a minor goddess. "Ethan," I whispered. Ethan Nakumara glared at me. "No talking he hissed. I punched his face. "Hold her down!" Ethan screamed. Several eager (and slightly hungry-looking) telkhines moved forward. I closed my eyes. "My friends will come for me." I said confidently. "They won't let you get away with this."
Annabeth:
As soon as the buses pulled up to the curb, I ran out and hugged Percy, crying into his shoulder. He seemed pretty surprised, and hesitated before putting his arms around me. "G-gone!" I sobbed. "They're gone!" -
If I my dreams were real, I would slaughter them with my knives. Horrible, confusing visions of the future, that never left demi-gods alone.
Michael Yew, a boy that I never bothered to talk to, shot arrows at the oncoming enemies. The bridge suddenly collapses while he's still on it. One moment he's there and the next he's gone. The horrifying shock of how quickly one of us can be killed in the heat of the battle torments me. -
Percy:
"Whoa there, Wise Girl. What happened? Who's gone?"
(Me:)
My hands were tied behind my back, and I was gagged. How stupid was that? These monsters have no imagination whatsoever.
