Mira struggled to her feet, but the burning sensation lingered. She braced herself for a finishing move...

Flare sat down, and said, "No finishing move this time, Water-type. Don't want to hurt you too much."

Mira slowly opened up her large, dark eyes. She stared up at the Typhlosion with a mixture of suspicion, relief, and confusion.

Flare looked down at his heavy paws, flames dying down once more.
Mew landed on a rock, still looking like a Pidgey. She cocked her head, thinking. -
"Why?" Came the only sound.
"Perhaps Mew won't need to interfere." Rainy said quietly. "I sense a great good in him as well." -
Then Mew decided to do a little prank. She flew up, and circled the 2 Pokmon. Then, she quickly shot a water beam at Flare before she flew away, chuckling.
Flare was about to respond when he felt a blast of water hit him in the back. He whirled around, flames flickering. -
Mira stood up straight now. "What was that?!"
Sunstorm chuckled to himself. Rainy simply rolled her eyes, though she was amused. -
Mew flew back towards Rainy and Sandstorm. Then she shifted back to her normal form and began to laugh.
Flare growled, looking around. All he saw was a Pidgey flying away. "I don't know..." -
Sunstorm started to laugh too. Rainy smiled. "I must go. King and Strike will worry." She nodded to her companions. "Until later..." And faded away, now nothing more than a presence.
Mira watched the pidgey fly off. -
Then Mew flew up again, her pink tail waving. "So, will you give this Typhlosion special powers, or not?"

Sunstorm hesitated. "...Not yet. A simple act of mercy appeals more strongly to the Suicune than to myself. But do not fret, my small friend. If he passes my challenge I may grant him his powers yet..."

"Challenge? Do you want me to drop water on him again?"

The great bird shook his head. "I have a bit of an adventure planned. It was king's idea. Each of us are to choose a pokemon to "represent" us in a great journey. I have chosen Flare."

Mew nodded. "Oh, I know who I'll pick! I saw this funny young Hoppip a while ago! She'd be good!"

Sunstorm nodded. "I believe Rainy has chosen the young Vaporeon. King and Strike are still searching."
