She sniffed in a superior fashion. "I'd much rather wash you away."

"Oh, well then! You think you're better than me? Then fight me!" Flare growled, the flames on his back getting brighter and higher every second.

"Fine, I will!" Mira crouched down. She was aware that her opponent nearly tripled her in size, but she didn't care. This arrogant fire type needed to be taught a lesson!

Flare smiled. Thanks to his former trainer, he knew just what to do to teach this Water type a lesson. He waited, giving her the chance to move first.

Mira stepped forward and shot an aurora beam at him. The lack of water would make this harder.

Flare dodged the beam, then charged her in a Rollout.
(I'll give him my Original Flare's moves... Rock Smash, Lava Plume, Rollout, and Strength!) -
Mira knows Bubble Beam, Water Gun, Aurora Beam, and Quick Attack.)
Mira jumped out of the way, narrowly avoiding having her tail crushed. -
(Ok! Reminds me of my old Vaporeon!)
Flare charged again. -

This time she wasn't fast enough, and the little blue pokemon winced as she recovered from the blow. She spat a water gun, aiming for his back-flames. -
Flare growled as the flames wavered for a second. Then they strengthened again and brightened as Flare charged once more.

Mira jumped over him, landing on her paws behind him. Turning, she blasted a bubble beam at him, her heart pounding. He was strong.

Flare growled again, and turned to face her. She was stronger than he had anticipated. She reminded him of Whitney, the only gym leader who had given him a tough time. But he was a Quilava, and now he is a Typhlosion! He reared up on his hind legs, and used Lava Plume, sending fire everywhere.

Mira cried out as the flames hit her, knocking her to the ground.

Flare grinned, but did something he had never done before. He hesitated with his final attack.
