Wheezing in anguish, Kook tilted forward. "I'm alright... thanks," he grunted to the concerned mermaids. Then he realized it was nightfall.
His eyes glowed with an anticipating blue. Suddenly, his whole body shivered.
Of course, this happened every night. -
Aqua sighed in relief. "Come on, K. " she said. "The sun is setting. We don't want to miss it. " She said, smiling when she saw his arm had healed. He may not have a hand, but the stub had healeed and over many years his hand could possibly grow back.

'how much longer?' -
Kook smiled weakly, noticing his powers, though that was to freeze things, had helped his hand heal. Maybe that's because the ice shoots out of it, he thought, sighing as he headed to the rocks with Aqua. I guess I can only use one now.

It got dark. Everyone started stumbling around the obstacles of the ocean. Someone tripped over a rock. I stumbled here and there. I heard the crashes of the waves and loved walking on the sand.

I wondered where I was or if I really did see Muyta.
'Should I turn around?'I dissmissed the thought as I saw i had no tail. 'I had thought about how to sperate my legs and it worked , will it work the other way around? I feel so dry without any scales or swimming' -
As we approached the building, it looked scary, nothing I've seen before. It was a happy place where happy things happened. It sure didn't look that way at night! I was on watch duty so as everyone got out the materials I shined the flashlight around to try to spot something. I never did see anyone but I saw something this time. When I reshined the flashlight at the same spot it was gone. I shook my head and told myself, You just feel guilty and nervous. You're mind is playing tricks on you I couldn't help but feel that was the wrong thought.

I felt a light shine in my face and it hurt so I ducked.' Besides, It might be midnight patrol.'

I looked back behind me as they were trying to get the doors open. I turned back around and heard bushes rustling. I got creeped and knew someone was over there now. I waited for the line of cars to pass before walking across the street to investigate. I looked around when I got to the other side shining my flashlight at the slightest of noise. Then I heard more rustling in a nearby bush and I shined my light directly at it...it was a squirrel. I sighed and walked back across the street feeling foolish.

Kook was immediately spotted, but everything was alright because the two building patrols were Sirens like him. After they said "Goodnight," and turned out the light, K led the mermaids forward through the entrance.

I walked back across the street now ignoring the rustles in the bushes. I walked across the street furious with myself. Then I saw bright lights coming closer to me. Then I heard a car horn beep. I gasped and stood paralyzed with fear.
