"Okay then." Ivy said, walking over to the meadow, surprised to see a black horse eating the green grass. "Huh." She said to herself. Lucky jumped up onto a fence post, meowed, then started licking her paw. Rolling her eyes, Ivy turned back to the mare. "I like Twilight. It's got a nice ring to it." She said to Jackson, grinning as the horse turned it's head in her direction.
-
"How about Stella? It means star," Lianna said, shrugging. Lianna stroked the horse's mane. The horse nuzzled Lianna.
-
"What about Stella Twilight? Twilight or Stella for short." Ivy grinned reaching a hand out to the mare. It turned a head towards her, and trotted over, nuzzling her hand.
"Hello there." She whispered. Lucky yowled, obviously jealous of the attention Ivy was giving the black horse. -
Lianna almost laughed when she heard Lucky. Almost. Lianna looked at the black horse. "Yeah. It's a good name." She said. Lianna couldn't look at the horse for long without looking away. It looked so much like her sister, Hannah's horse. Hannah had picked a black horse, much like this one, and called it her own. Lianna almost couldn't look at the horse without wincing.
-
"I've always wanted a horse. Well, another one. Midnight went missing when...when the apocalypse started." Ivy said, remembering when her parents had gotten it for her birthday. "I'm...going inside." She said to the others, in case she burst out in sobs like she sometimes did when she thought of life before all the zombies.

IHLAOY Newbie(Sometimes I feel my posts are too long. Are they too long? I mean, I am trying to cut myself down as much as possible.)
"Are you okay?"
The words would normally be a comfort, but the speaker had a way with tone and inflection that turned the words just enough for them to be hostile. Vivian shook her head, pain shooting through it as she did so. "Just kill me."
"You nearly killed yourself, you bloody idiot! For christ's sake, you still have vomit all over your shirt!"
Vivian looked down, smiling slightly as she realized the speaker was right. She wasn't sure what she was expecting. "Where am I?"
"I dragged you to my place after you threw up on my shoes and passed out. Didn't seem right to leave you in the street."
"...thanks."
"You're welcome. Moron."
Vivian blinked once to clear her eyes, and when she opened them again the figure was gone. In fact, the entire room was gone. All that was left was a single red button flashing in her face and throwing everything into it's red hue. Yawning despite the pain in her teeth, Vivian flicked the call on.
A female voice rang out for her, "Vivian, take your pills, you've been mumbling into the microphone for the last twenty minutes and it's freaking everyone out."
Vivian smacked her head, of course, that's what she'd forgotten. Smiling at her own stupidity, Vivian gave Dan a quick thank you before standing up and heading into her 'bathroom.' -
Jackson smiled and silently agreed. He leaped over the fence easily and the horse nickerd daring him. Of course, he took the challenge. "C'mon girl." He soothed as he patted her neck and looked for any open or fatel wounds. Seeing none he led it to the fence before using the fence as a stepping stool and onto the horses back. She whinned softly but allowed him to do so. "I used to bare back ride all the time." He grinned wickedly and gunned off holding with his legs on her sides and fisti n her mane. SHe snorted with pleasure and sprinted around her large meadow.

Jess watched the sunset in awe. She hardly stayed outside at this time, instead, she would lock windows and doors to protect where ever she was staying. She watched the clouds go from orange to pink to purple. Jess glanced at the others-playing with the horse. She turned away quickly, thinking about her plan.

Ivy kept a hand on her sword as she entered the house, Lucky padding in front of her. Suddenly, the black cat hissed, and a load moan was heard in the corner. Cursing, she stepped forward, nocked an arrow, and shot it into the corner. A thud could be heard as the zombie hit the ground. Stepping around the body, making a mental note to get rid of it later, she trudged up the stairs, constantly aware. There proved to be no more zombies, so she settled in one of the bedrooms.

IHLAOY Newbie(Screw da length, Imma roleplay!)
"Do I know you?" Vivian asked, taking a seat next to the girl at the bar. She wasn't anything to speak of, though her strange dress did mark her as someone who didn't belong. Who wears a dress to a rave anyway?
The girl smiled knowingly, making Vivian uncomfortable. "Probably. You did ruin my favorite pair of shoes."
Comprehension crossed Vivian's face, "Don't worry, I have a system for that, I'll pay you back. Or at least, I would. Things are kinda difficult at the moment."
"And why's that?"
"I...I think you might be dead."
Vivian snapped back to reality, a terrible taste building in her mouth. In her hand was a small rectangular piece of paper, with the symbol of an ant on the top. A queen ant, if Vivian remembered what the guy who gave it to her said. But he also said it would literally blow her mind, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Sitting back down, Vivian flicked her mic on again; the music around her dying. "One day, Dan, I am going to kick this addiction."
"Whatever you say, Vivian."
Smiling to herself even though no one could see, Vivian continued, "Thanks for not calling this what it is, but lets not kid ourselves. Call this a pill again, and I'll block you."
"You wouldn't block me, you'd be stuck with Rob all day."
"Ah, good point." Vivian conceded. -
He led the horses towards the barn. Slipping off her back he put her in a stall after checking for zoms. He headed up the loft and threw hay down into the stall for her to eat. Gazing out the large window that the doors where open to, he slowly lost himself in thought.
"Bubby!" A child screamed and giggled as she was thrown into the air.
He laughed and caught the child in open arms before throwing the blonde girl up in the air once more and catching her. "Don't tell Mom, it's our secreat." He set her down and the 4 year old nodded and ran off to most likely tell Dad or ask for cookies.
He blinked slowly and woke back up, to reality. The painfull reality where when you died.. you woke up once more trying to eat everything that had a heart beat. He shiverd and a small tear slid from the corner of his eye and he quickly wiped it away. -
Lianna sat on the top of the hill. The devastating view draw Lianna to it. There's no way that zombies could've done that. Lianna wasn't sure about her own theory either. She sighed and lied on the slightly wet earth.

IHLAOY NewbieEverything was static.
Vivian's prized music was blocked by white noise as she stared blindly forward; forward into an abyss of flashing white and black. She reached out in front of her in search of grounding, but found nothing; tumbling deeper into the abyss. An awareness grew around her out of the lines, a sense of perspective, a sense of space.
She was...sitting? Yes. Sitting. And sweating. God, it was so hot in the static. And her mouth was dry as well. She couldn't wait until it started to feel good.
Wasn't she supposed to be doing something? Vivian thought deeply, cleaving through the static. There was something she needed. She needed...needed...talks. She needed talks.
A crude flashing sandwich-board appeared in front of her, and she reached forward anxiously. "Hey...is there...am I alone up here? I don't want...hehe, it's like the song. Is there anybody out there~ Call...call the station for me. I need someone to talk to, the music isn't playing right."
