Max didn't say anything, she just smiled back.

Fang let his smiled fade.

"What's wrong?" She asked, taking a step closer.

"Nothing." He said.

"You sure?" She murmured, kicking the dirt with her foot.

"Yep."

There was an awkward silence.

Fang didn't speak.

Max didn't either.
Kona paced away and sat down on the front step of the house. -
Fang noticed the dog was gone. "We should go..."

"Fine.."

Fang went back towards the house.

Max went inside her room.
Kona followed Fang and licked his hand. -
Fang went into his room.

Kona followed and sat down on his bed
