Max put a wing around him.

Fang smiled. "Come on, let's go back home."

"B-but, I liked being under this tree...."

"But whhhyyyyy?"
Kona crawled out from under the tree and sat outside of it. -
"Just COOOOOOOME!"

"Whyyyyyyyyyyy?" She stayed put. She put her other wing around him.

Fang sighed. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

"Stay?" She asked, tightening her wings.

"Ah, fine!" He said.

She didn't reply. She smiled up at him.
Kona drifted into sleep. -
Fang smiled back.

Max unwrapped her wings and looked up at him.

Fang smiled for a second more.
