Bearpaw scented it as well. "Yeah, they were."
Ravenpaw pushed against where the cage had opened. It didn't budge. As she did so, the monster started forward, turning onto the road. -
(*mutters*)

"The scent just...stops, though."
Firepaw yowled loudly, hoping to grab the attention of their captor. -
David quickly glanced over at the cats. "Be quiet!"
Bearpaw scented the air again. "There's a wierd scent with it, though."
(Someone's using your old account again.) -

Firepaw only yowled louder, not understanding the garbled twoleg-speak.
"Yeah...it almost smells like..." His eyes widened. "Twolegs." -
:P)
David looked back at the road, and sighed.
Bearpaw's eyes widened in surprise. "We need to find them!" -
"Follow the scent!" Goldpaw ordered, he and Barkpaw racing after it.

Bearpaw raced after them.
David drove on for a while, then turned into a parking lot. He parked the cat. They had arrived at the shelter. -

Firepaw was still yowling at the top of her lungs. -
Grabbing the cage, David turned off the car, opened the door, stepped out, closed the door, and started walking towards the shelter.

Firepaw looked around frantically. She didn't recognize where they were at all, and she was starting to panic. But she shook her head and tried to calm down, reminding herself she had to be strong, especially in front of Ravenpaw.

Ravenpaw was still push up against the part of the cage that had opened earlier.
David opened the door, and walked up to the counter. The lady behind it greeted him, and then took the cage from him. David left, while the lady took the cage into the back to be examined. -
Firepaw had finally settled into silence, and was glaring at the new twoleg, her claws unsheathed.

The twoleg ignored her, and walked into an examination room. She set the cage on the metal table. She exited the room, closing the door behind her . She could be heard yowling for the shelter's doctor.
"Firepaw, do you have any ideas on how to get out of here?" She had given up on the opening.
