Brightpaw exited the den last, the only other apprentice awake.
Dovekit was running from Ashkit, who was chasing her. The little kit ran right into Bearpaw's leg. "Oops!" She giggled. "Sorry!" -
Bearpaw smiled at the kit."It's okay! " He chuckled softly.

Dovekit stared up at him. "Who're you?"

"I'm Bearpaw. I... joined the clan yesterday. " (But, knowing our timeline, it was two years ago, while also taking place next month.)

Dovekit smiled. "I'm Dovekit! I'm gonna be a big apprentice like you soon!" -
"Oh, really? How old are you, then? "

"Four moons!" She meowed proudly.

"Oh, I thought you were just 2 moons old! " He meowed in a teasing voice.

"Two? I'm much bigger than. A two moon old!" She squeaked indignantly. Ashkit giggled. "He thought you were two moons..." The tomkit laughed.

"But you..." Bearpaw turned to Ashkit. "You look even younger!"

"Hey!" The tom protested. "I'm older than she is!"

"Well, you don't look like it!"

"I'm almost five whole moons!" He told Bearpaw, puffing out his little chest.

That's okay! Venus is still in the warrior's den with Sandstone, although we should say he went to sleep and woke up since we time skipped to morning.)
