Just a short little part
Back at the helicarrier once more, things were not any less hectic. Lucy and Megan had been quarantined to the medical bay and were not allowed to be visited. This resulted in the first of many shouting matches between Fury and Thor. Loki and Raven had been imprisoned in two highly surveyed areas. Natasha and Clint had both been rather distant, although not much more so than usual. Steve and Bruce had returned to training. Tony joined them. It went on like this for a few weeks until Fury reported that Lucy and Megan were well enough to be visited.
"I've been well enough for weeks now," Lucy muttered when the team entered her room. Megan was there too, smiling, just relieved to be with all her friends again. "Glad you're both feeling better." Steve said with a small smile. Lucy scowled; Megan grinned. But both thanked him anyway. Tony snickered. "What's so funny?" Lucy raised an eyebrow as she asked. Tony fell silent. "Nothing! Nothing," he was trying desperately not to laugh. She was like an old man, shooing away the nurses and grumbling about everything. That image only made him burst out laughing again. Natasha and Clint eyed him strangely. Steve was downright staring. Thor looked around, a bit confused. "I do not understand the humor in this situation." Megan glanced back and forth between Tony's chuckling face and Lucy's death glare. "Me either." She told the Asgardian. They smiled at each other. They were safe. Life was good.
