(we have to compare Japan to Chine, btw) I wrote down that Japan had no communism unlike China and anime because i couldn't think of something else XD)

they put their work first and their family second ... they spend nearly all their time studing every day. They don't relax alot.
This is only in the school years once they did there exams they have constant fun or alot of fun if they go to college.
so they are basically smart due to all the work and studying
this is just a average. not all people are like this in japan but most can be
after WW2 they invested heavily in technology and have alot of manufacturing (eg. car industry, electronics etc) which helped to boost their GDP. -
China is overworked and may be just as good as japan, (financial wise) but china is also more crowded than japan and has much more polution.
