(We just beat Jayclan, who were trying to take over our land. Riverkit, one of the kits, were killed in the fighting, and Snowpaw, an apprentice, was wounded after falling through a hole into a cave while fighting a Jayclan Warrior. The Battle patrol isn't back yet.)

I pace back and forth across camp, worried about who was winning. I suddenly feel a surge of anger. " Why didn't I get chosen to fight? I'm tough and I have good training! After all, I am one of the best fighters in the whole Clan!" I mumble. I lash my tail. Suddenly, I hear a cry of dismay. I prick my ears.
