"Huh?" Diane muttered, sitting up. She didn't recognize Anthony for a moment, but quickly remembered the events of earlier. "What was it?" she asked quietly.

The loud ringing sound was still there. "Do you hear that?"

She looked around, confused. "Hear what?"

"The ringing." Anthony mumbled.

She frowned, and shook her head.

The ringing in his ear got louder then suddenly stopped. Anthony touched it gently, feeling something cold. Metal. "Look at my ear. Do you see any metal?"

She nodded, reaching up and touching it.

"Do you see what it is?"

"I'm not exactly sure what it is..." Diane gingerly reached toward the edge of it, seeing if it'd come out of his ear.

"What if it's a tracking thing?" He asked.

"Then we need to get it out." She knelt next to him, pulling just a little on the metal object. "Does that hurt?"

"No, I don't really feel it", Anthony said.

"Tell me if it does at all." She continued slowly taking it out.

"Ok.." It pinched a little for a bit, but then he didn't feel anything still.

It was almost out. She pulled the little metal circle out of his ear and held it in her open palm.
