As soon as she got back over, Anthony asked questions. "How'd you not wake him up and whatd you get?"

"Come on... I'll show you on the way." Diane started off, glancing back at him.

"Ok." Anthony followed her once again.

She turned around her backpack so it hung in front of her chest. She unzipped the bag and handed him one of the apples.

*opened the box of berries, offering him some.

"Thank you." he said, eating a few. "What's your name? I never caught it."

"Diane. Diane Young." She waited for his response on the coincidental wordplay, and ate a few herself.

"Heh." he laughed quietly. "That's nice."

"Other than the berries, though, I got enough canned stuff to last us a week or two. And some beef jerky." She headed off toward the left, motioning for him to follow.

"Is it beef jerky?" he followed. "And where are we gonna go?"

She nodded. "Well, I live in this van not too far from here... it's been perfect, since no one suspects it."

"Oh. Ok. You've never been caught?"

"Uh... once, at the very beginning, before I lived there. I escaped though pretty soon though." She thought of the scars crossing her back. "It was when they needed slaves, not test subjects."
