Alter2Ego NewbieALTER2EGO -to- EVERYONE:
Jesus Christ is the founder of Christianity and the only means by which humanity can be saved from Adamic death. Therefore his role in God's heavenly kingdom is vital.
"{10} let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of JESUS CHRIST the Nazarene, whom you impaled but whom God raised up from the dead, by this one does this man stand here sound in front of you. {11} This is 'the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the head of the corner.' {12} Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved." (Acts 4:10-12)
Is it any wonder that atheists/skeptics are so obsessed with trying to prove that the Bible is fallible? Their aim is to recruit new disciples from among people who are sitting on the fence, people who are already not sure what to really believe. To that end, atheists insist the Bible is nothing more than a book of fairy tales/myths. Since, according to them, the Bible is a book of myth, it stands to reason (at least in their minds) that the characters in the Bible are all part of the myth, including Jesus Christ.
The objective of this thread is to prove that Jesus Christ existed beyond the pages of the inspired Word of God (the Judeo-Christian Bible). But be warned: When presented with documentary evidence of Jesus' historical existence, atheist/skeptics use another ploy: they attack the credibility of those who confirmed the existence of Jesus Christ and/or they attack the credibility of what was written about Jesus Christ. Keep in mind that they never present evidence to back up their rebuttals. It's all about what they've chosen to believe from the writings of other skeptics who are "scholars."
Below are three credible non-Christian sources from the 1st Century AD who mentioned Jesus Christ in their secular writings.
1. Cornelius Tacitus, Roman Historian. Tacitus has been called "the greatest historian of ancient Rome."
2. Flavius Josephus, Jewish Historian. Josephus was a Pharisee, a Johnny-come-lately to the same group of religious leaders responsible for having Jesus Christ killed. He confirmed that Christ was executed by Pilate.
3. Pliny The Younger (born Gaius Plinius Caecilius Secundus), Roman Governor. He violently persecuted Christians. He referred to Jesus Christ as a "god of the Christians."
RHETORICAL QUESTION: All three of the individuals described above were people in powerful positions who were anti-Christian and belonged to groups that actively killed Christians. All three individuals belonged to organizations that were responsible for Jesus' death. What did they have to gain from confirming the historical existence of Jesus Christ in their writings, since they viewed him and his teachings as offensive? Why would they have confirmed that Jesus Christ existed outside the pages of the Judeo-Christian Bible, since it did not further their cause: their desire to wipe out Christianity--unless he really did exist in history?

Abraham Lincoln was a real person, but just because someone made a movie about him does not mean he killed vampires.

@Emmajamme:
We're just like an other religion, trying to spread our beliefs. And Atheist aren't really a religion (1. sorry to all Atheists on here, 2. correct me if I'm wrong). I'm a Mormon (the full name of our sect is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints-I'd prefer to be called a Latter Day Saint), I'm in Italy right now, but I don't go up to Catholics, and try to convert them. -

Jesus Christ is prominently mentioned throughout the Bible and is identified as the "Mediator between God and men."
"{5} For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, {6} who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all -- this is what is to be witnessed to at its own particular times." (1 Timothy 2:5-6)

Okay, I have a question for Ego.
Can you say that all the ancient Greek gods are myth?
