Ego, we have all answered your questions. We have presented facts, and then you willingly admit you didn't even read them before jumping to conclusions. I swear out of frustration in the face of unyielding ignorance. It wasn't a backup. It's the way I talk. So fuck your fucking moral code. You're an egotistical asshole, and even the people who are supposedly on your side don't like you very much.

@Viktor He must. I mean, the world isn't in complete ruin. It could be a lot worse. And He did redeem His people after a time of punishment.
-
Sorry, but it doesn't make sense. Why would such a wise god create something and then punish his own creation and let them suffer?
Plus, look at Africa or many other places. How could that be any worse? -
Because they've turned away from Him thereby not acknowledging their own creator. And that could be across the whole world. Honestly, I think the worst part about that is the fact that people could help, they just choose not to.
-
He should've known they would be tricked and eat from that tree.
Honestly, your stories are boring to me.I've heard them a thousand times and have many reason to prove they can be wrong.I can't prove you so if you don't think higher than what you've been told.
Come to think of it,a god would create something out of love and then lets them suffer? This world is full of pain. It's not that simple to get better if only people helped.Maybe one day you'll realise what I mean. -
Planet created for Humans...
70% salt water...
'nuff said. -
@Viktor Apparently He did. No one knows what God is thinking. And I completely understand what you mean. I've brought that up to many priests myself. My views and beliefs don't follow 100% with those of any church. However, I do one thing to say. Let's assume that a god does exist. This god would know that whatever he creates will turn against him if he gives them one thing. That thing is a free will. Now, he could force people to believe and love them, or he let people chose, eventually punishing them and allowing these people to experience his existence for themselves if they do not love and/or believe in him. The people that always follow him must truly love him, for they were given a choice to love and they did. The people who didn't love him until they were punished didn't truly love him at first, but eventually did come to realize his existence and perhaps one day to love him. If they were never given the choice to love him or not, however, could it truly be considered love?
@barberbob The world was apparently meant for all of creation, not just humans. -
A punishment is something you can learn from. It's an example and meant to guide you forward in the future. Hell isn't punishment. There's nothing you can learn from it. How can you grow from an experience if it's supposed to be for all eternity? It's torture. Plain and simple. That's not a loving God. That's a dick.

Aren't most gods basically described as dicks though, no matter the religion? And honestly, I the Heaven and Hell thing is supposedly a war between God and Satan, so Satan likes to claim all the "bad" souls since they're technically on his side and God all the "good" souls. While its described as a torture, I've always thought of it more as a vacation spot for villains. I mean, why would Satan torture the same people that do his work? Then again, it's Satan, the guy who apparently likes to cause destruction, pain, and misery.
-
Get rid of the I before Heaven *facepalm*
-
The war between heaven and hell I thought was demons and angels.
Although if you want to learn who the real villain is, just check the kill counts between Satan and God. -
It's everything. I don't know if that's the way the church describes it, but seeing it up close I can tell you that's definitely it. And Satan's is much higher because he and his demons are responsible for pretty much every suicide caused by someone feeling s---ty about themselves.
-
Actually, I can disagree. Suicides are caused by a lot of things. I was almost suicidal and it was because of God. Not Satan. I also know a lot of others like me. Not to mention that the country with the highest suicide rate isn't Christian at all and that the total number of suicides ever committed is insignificant compared to the number of murders caused in the name of God.
But let's forget about the crusades, witch trials, dark ages, slave killings, holocaust, and all of the war in the middle east. Let's look at just what your bible says they have committed themselves.
God: 2,476,633
Satan: 10
hmm... that's a close one. Definitly easy to see who the truly evil one is, right? Right? -
First, all those things were caused by people, therefore the manupliation of the human brain through demons. The victim can be completely unaware of it, and usually is.
Second, those people all turned away from God, therefore towards Satan. -
"Those people all turned away from God, therefore towards Satan"
Oh I could just imagine the horror.
Under your logic, anyone who isn't Christian follows Satan. Well I guess that this means that the Roman empire, the Egyptian Empire, the Chinese Empire, and every other group that helped develop the modern world are all Satanists. And your reason for being Christian is what exactly? You're not even helping your own case anymore.
