I think you guys may have misunderstood the idea. It doesn't say that the Big Bang never happened, but it asks why did it happen? Why are there physical laws? Why is there something instead of nothing?
As for murder, rape, and stealing, I wasn't thinking so much about the person doing it, but more about what happens to the society around us. Why is there causation between the condonation of murder, rape, or stealing and general chaos? -
@The Geek animals have souls and they are more intelligent than us in ways. You look into a dogs eyes and tell them that they don't have a soul. How about you and a dog get put out in the wilderness. I bet you $1000 that dog will last longer than you. They probably think that we're stupid because we can't survive out in the wilderness like they do. Survival beats school. Animals have creativity. You may not know it, but there are animals out there that have to build a home for themselves.

@DOA thats why I dont live in the willdernes.

@The Geek - You made a response.

Oh, and how dare you say "we have a soul." How do you know animals don't have souls too? You're being too childish and ignorant. You're assuming something that is obviously not true. I can be okay with people who assume things, things that are not true. But not when I aint in a good mood. So, I have a thing against that right now.
We are not at the top. Humans are not at the top just because of their greater knowledge as you say. It wouldn't matter who's at the top anyway, because why would you need to know that? You don't need to. Not while you live on Earth, that's all I know. -
@tongue From a religious stand point, I'd have to say that things like that happen because the devil tempts people into doing such things. However, I will separate myself from my religious beliefs momentarily to bring out what I consider to be a major point on this topic.
There is a theory about kill instincts. These instincts supposedly came about with the first humans. They helped maintain dominance and survival. Here is a website that shows two sides to this theory (for and against):
I believe it better explains it than I could. Plus, the answer is from Discovery Channel.
I think that many theists will reply to that saying that it is proof that the devil exists, for only the devil could tempt a man into doing something so evil. However, and this is merely a prediction, I believe that atheists will have the tendency to take this information and say that it is proof that no God or devil exists because people who act in such ways are merely acting on their instincts and have no other influence as to why they would do such things.
I hope I was accurate and correct on this. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
