think on how much you want to fight for your religeon, think on how you want everyone on your side. how you want everybody to stop and believe the things you think are right. thats how christians feel, they want you to understand where they are coming from. -
The difference being the facts to back it up. And that is where I draw my line.

@barberbob2, well. maybe christians dont need the fact. maybe they believe a god is up there because thry had a good life, and that praying does work for them, but praying doesnt work for everybody
just put this way, this is what i believe
you see i believe there is a god up there. but i believe he is completely stubborn, i would explain this story that explains some more things but i feel like im taking a long time to respond -

Maybe I could help you out with the misunderstanding on the lefty issue. I base a lot of my debates off of historical references. From medieval times up until as late as the 20th century, being left handed has been associated religiously as a negative connotation. Anywhere from being a sign of witch craft, to a spawn of satan. In any case, religion has murdered a lot of innocent people and traumatized even more countless people simply for being left handed. It was tabbood as 'evil'. So when he asked if metal music was bad, I was trying to relate his concerns to the same way people related left handedness as bad. I expected you all to know your own history, but I can tell I was gravely mistaken.
And as for our conversation, anything you can give as a reason for a God, I can disprove with things you can see every day. What does your sky wizard have to say about that? -
ok, multiple things i have to say about this
1. i do not concider him a sky wizard, i simply concider him a person, just like you and me
2. i am at a young age for i have not learned as many things.
3. i am not god, so i may not tell you what he thinks about it
4.for what i have read, i have seen nothing for what you are mentioning. i have went to church for almost all my life and everything you mention they have not taught -
MoonlightNinja NewbieI agree with my buddy! I also have a question for you @barberbob2; why is it that you try and make us turn away from our creator? Or why do you try and prove us wrong? We are simply believing in what we believe in. God has blessed us with wonderful things in life, yet you try and ruin Him. Yes, that was the past, I agree. But haven't you heard of the expression "don't judge someone by their past"? Don't judge us Christians because of our past or the History. People these day still might kill, but those are the ones who think they are doing God a favour, but aren't. We are not one of them.
Please just respect us as Christians. We don't mean any harm. @scolionophobia and I are still young, but we love and respect God so much. I don't want to turn away from God when He has blessed me with @scolionophobia as a friend. I will not turn away from Him, never in my life. -

Scolio, from your post, this is literally what I gathered.
1. The person who you claim knows everything and created everything and is all powerful, is just like you and me.
2. You are Naive and don't know what you're talking about.
3. You don't know anything your "god" says, so anything you say about him is actually putting words in his mouth and a sin.
4. You'd believe the church when they tell you they are good guys. Because I don't see it personally. -
MoonlightNinja NewbieOkay, whatever. You're too stubborn to stop and so am I. Why the hell are you trying to pull us away from our God? Young people like us look up to people who are older, yet you're trying to corrup us and turn us away from our God. It's wrong. Religion isn't the cancer to the world, it's something else. You say it's cancer, but I say it's not. It's bigger than that. My friends, they never really bothered about my religion till they saw my necklace of the cross during one of our PE classes. They then became interested in my religion and asked a bunch of questions. Both of them have different religions than I do, but they get what I'm saying. They may not believe it, but they support it.
You think we are doing harm, but you don't know that. We don't know what God looks like or what he indents to teach us. We don't know, and so do you. How we explain our God might not be accurate, but we never know. Also, not everything needs to have science and hard facts. To me, science is like a tight space. No freedom. You have to follow this, this makes perfect sense and there's no other way, and all those stuff. That's why I prefer arts (drawing, writing, music). I can express myself in words can't or in Scientific chiz can't.
We aren't leaving here. We can be Christians anywhere we want. We are strong and proud and you can never turn me away from Him. You will fight back, but I'll be here to fight it. -

@barberbob2, you see, theres a difference, between my post and your post.
1. i think he is a guy, up in the sky that watches over us. you see, in my bible, it says that god gives everybody obstacles, if you pass the obstacle, somthing good would happen, if you dont pass, somthing bad would happen. and somthing other religeons dont understand, even the crazy christians dont understand, is with god you have alot of chances with him.if you make a mistake, it basicly means "learn from your mistakes"
2.i do know what i am talking about, simply because my whole family is one of those "crazy christians" [im not though] and we go to church alot, and i accually try to listen.

1. Your bible has been rewritten over and over again by 2,000 years of corrupted politics. It's a book of murder, rape, hate, more murder, and blind ignorance. And as for your "learn from your mistakes" idea about your God; let's look at the angels cast out of heaven, or the pillars of salt, or the victims of those locusts swarms, the floods, the crusades, or any of those other wonderful points in history where god let people "learn from their mistakes".
2. So I should trust you because I have to take your word that you're not the crazy christian your entire family raised you to be and you pay attention in church? That... doesn't make any sense.
3. You admit that you are repeating what the church has taught you. And yet I don't see you doing any research yourself. Congratulations, you're a fucking tool.
4. And I will not let religion go. Bad people will do bad things; good people will do good things; but for a good person to do a bad thing, that requires religion. What I'm trying to get at is that religion is corrupted, and as long as it stands there will be people twisting it to fit what they want. I don't fight for peace because calming down the crazy people I see would be treating a symptom, and I'm trying to remove the tumor. End of story.
MLN, everything you said was either answered in my post to Scolio or it was such a logical fallacy that I don't even want to respond.
