If someone has sex and they aren't married, how will God punish them? It says in the bible that sex before marriage is a big sin... but a lot of people are doing it right now so I'm just wondering how they will get punished. Will they get bad luck or what?
And... does it make you a false Christian if you support sex before marriage? -

Sex before marraige is fine. I don't believe God has ever punished anyone for having sex before marraige. You can try to argue that God punished Jesus for sex before marraige, but that is only if you believe he had sex with Mary Magdalene, and in the end his punishment was not handed down by God but by the Romans. And I don't count divorce as punishment for sex before marraige either, because people have the choice of whether to get divorced or not. A divine punishment would be along the lines of a natural disaster, which many of the most bigoted, radical Christians believe are punishments for our society's tolerance of homosexuality. So the idea that fornicators will be punished is just shy of the Westboro Baptist Church.

@Kirby: God hates sin and sex before marriage is one of the terrible sins. However, he is a loving God and will cleans your sins away. This doesn't mean we should abuse this. We should try our best, as christians, to live our lives like Jesus did.
God is quick to listen and slow to anger.
@Samantha: You're right. God does not level sins from worst to not so bad. To God a sin is a sin and they are all terrible and heartbreaking. -
Living like Jesus did might actually mean having sex before marraige. There's some evidence that Jesus and Magdalene were lovers and even had a son.

If thats what it says in the bible, then you are suppose to follow that. Its what he wants. Sex before marriage is bad because it is supposed to be used to make children, and you arent supposed to abuse that power.

I think it also says in the Bible that gay people should be stoned to death. Should we follow that as well?
@Kirby: Yes, sex can also be for pleasure. Lust is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, but think about the nature those supposed sins. They are all things that are part of our nature as humans. If our flaws are what makes us human, then what is so wrong about them? -
Wait, if we have sex before marriage, and it's a sin, and god cleanses our sins, does that mean we're virgins again? xD
