Praying is different in Islam, you're worshipping not asking for something.

Islam is the same as the other abrahmic religions, except the god is brown.

one time my mom didnt come home. and hadnt called. she was late by like 3 hrs. i went up to my room and prayed she would walk through the door...and she did right after i said amen

When I pray I don't wish for things. I pray for my family and friends' safety and well being. And that things out of my control work out the way they need to.
