Okay, this post was mostly given towards Christians/Catholics who have faith in heaven and the Lord, God.
I know what atheists are going to say (Animals don't go to heaven, they don't have souls, blah blah blah) I already KNOW what atheists are going to say...so...
But Christians, some of you DON'T believe animals go to heaven or don't have a soul. But ANYONE whose had a pet in their life, KNOWS that every animal is an individual and has a personality, therefore has a soul.
I believe animals go to heaven. Just because it says nowhere in the Bible, doesn't mean they don't go up. The Bible is just silent, shushed up at this moment.
And I think some people believe animals don't go to heaven just because those people think they are better than animals. Well, guess what, you're not. Remember, God made the beasts/animals BEFORE he made man and that animals are just as important as we are, no matter what.
Besides, if animals don't sin, then they SHOULD go to heaven, because they don't do s--- to others like we do. -
Yes, I definitely believe animals have souls, and that they'd go to heaven.
-
There are different types of souls. Yes, animals have souls but not RATIONAL souls. People have rational souls, therefore they go to Heaven. No one can be absolutely sure if animals go to Heaven. I don't mind you believing it though. I guess it can be a way to comfort yourself when you think where your dog went after he died.

@Kirstine
In the Bible, God said man had domain over animals. That means that humans actually are above animals.
Look at it this way:
Would you find it better to save an abused kid or an abused animal? Hopefully you chose kid because animals are inferior to humans. -
Technically humans ARE animals.
I would save the animal. To hell with the kid.
*brick'd for being a douchebag* -
Jk jk jk, I wouldn't let either die unless it was pointless to try to save them anyways.
-
Purple Cherries:
Well, what if I tell you that I would rather save the poor abused animal than the kid? Would you chastise me for it?
That's your belief that animals don't go to heaven. If animals don't go to heaven, then God (no offence, my Lord) seems hypocrite-like for that. Why would God create something he loves (not including plants...or does it?) and not send it to heaven when it dies? What kind of God is THAT? I'm not judging God, I have a strong heart for animals and I've had lots of pets that I've loved all my life. -
And yes, we are ABOVE animals, but it doesn't mean we are better than them.
-
To me whenever someone starts talking about humans being better then animals it reminds me of slavery. White people believed themselves to be better then black people and you know the story.
Plus, as Tingity said, humans are animals. -
I believe that, if there is a heaven, that all of our pets will be there with us, along with every other animal. Part of what makes life great right now is the fact that we have animals here, so, if heaven is really perfect, the animals will be there, too.

FLgirl92 NewbieI hope animals go to Heaven. Eternal Life loses alot of its appeal if I can't spend eternity with all of my dogs.
-
Well, actually in the Bible it says that the Lion will lay down with the Lamb. This is probably trying to show that there will be peace among everyone, but you can also take it literally I suppose. So, yes, I believe that animals MAY go to heaven although I don't see the point. They don't really love. You may think dogs show affection, but that's only because they associate treats and pats on the head with showing "affection" to their master.
-
PurpleCherries,
I see that you have no experience whatsoever with animals of any kind. It shows. -
Hello everybody,
If you read the book, There Is Eternal Life For Animals, then you will believe with all your heart that our furry faithful friends will be there when we die.
You can find a bunch of other books on here that explain an animal's eternal life:

I used to own a kitten who passed away a few years ago. I believe that she loved me as I loved her. She gave me affection and somehow she knew when I was upset, she'd come and lick my face and snuggle up with me. I have faith in God with all my heart, I trust him that he will bring our deceased pets to heaven.
Besides, God described Heaven as a "perfect" place. It wouldn't be perfect without animals, would it?
Good luck! -
About that [no urls] part, here it is:
eternalanimals(.)com
except without the brackets.
And just to note, a lot of other people have had near death experiences and have seen their animals in heaven. One boy said that he had seen a lot of animals when he had his near death experience. I believe those kids. And no, they weren't hallucinations.
Any animal lover would have the faith to believe that our furry friends will meet us there in heaven :)
