the end of the world senerio is a scientific improbability.
the only possible reason we would die out as a species is
A. we destroy are habittat (and that likely wouldn't exactly KILL us because we would inhabit and maintain the remaining areas)
or
B. are sun will die out in several trillion years...that may or may not kill us -
C. Chuck Norris gets pissed.

Oh ya, the sun would most likely die out a lot earlier, since it has already been around for so long, it is kind of impossible for a star to last that long. Maby a couple thousand more yeats.

I believe that we may be experiancing i right now, with the gulf of Mexico's oil spill, but still, we had unusual weather lately too, and plus like 3 hurricane? I am guessing we might be in it right now, and the world will really end in atleast 2012, so lets hope not peeps.

well yes are sun has been around for a very long time. HOWEVER, based on other observed stars, our sun is roughly middle aged. meaning that however long it's lasted now, it will last at least that long again. (and ares is unusally stable so should last even longer) -
