I don't get why the news and everyone around us is so into ganging up on the Catholics. At some point it just gets really annoying. I mean, you don't see us making fun of your beliefs, so why should you make fun of ours?
-
You've already proven that you make fun of other people's beliefs and values, honey.
-
Adding to what Ana says, you're pretty much just making Catholicism look bad.
-
solitary_atheist NewbieI used to BE a catholic. So don't go around sayin' that I don't know anything about your religion.
-
If I didn't know anything about Catholicism, then I wouldn't be opposed to it. However, as a matter of principle, I am opposed to all religion, though I do have a particular distaste for Scientology and certain strains of Christianity.
-
FLgirl92 NewbieI don't agree with the Catholic Church on birth control, but aside from that, I don't have any real issue with it as a religion.
-
People are against Muslims also.
It really depends on the type of people, in another country the people may enjoy one religion more than another. -
Hm. I don't know. Maybe I've been harassed by Catholics my whole life. .3. You're a conceited branch of Christianity. "No one can go to Heaven unless they're Catholic." That in itself should make you deserve a happy train trip to Hell.
Some Catholics are decent. But a great majority of you do make fun of others' beliefs, to the point where you start hating them. Some of the morals within
Catholicism are good, but your overall outlook on other religions greatly impacts the way you are viewed as well. -
To be honest, and I'm not trying to be rude or offensive, but I don't like Catholicism. I'm a Christian, but churches and different sects can really be rude and give my religion a horrible name. That's why I don't consider myself apart of any church or group of people. I just believe in Jesus and the Bible.

I do not hate religionists, I am one myself. I am a Gnostic Christian.
What I fell is more like disgust at Christian beliefs and the fact that their indoctrination will not let them see it. It is completely immoral and what they have done to females and Gays is unforgivable.
It was God's plan from the beginning to have Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit. This can be demonstrated by the fact that the bible says that Jesus "was crucified from the foundations of the Earth," that is to say, God planned to crucify Jesus as atonement for sin before he even created human beings or God damned sin.
If God had not intended humans to sin from the beginning, why did he build into the Creation this "solution" for sin? Why create a solution for a problem you do not anticipate?
God knew that the moment he said "don't eat from that tree," the die was cast. The eating was inevitable. Eve was merely following the plan.
This then begs the question.
What kind of God would plan and execute the murder of his own son when there was absolutely no need to?
Only an insane God. Thats who.
The cornerstone of Christianity is human sacrifice, thus showing its immorality.
One of Christianity's highest form of immorality is what they have done to women.
They have denied them equality and subjugated them to men.

No one said that just because you aren't Catholic you can't go to heaven. I'm sure many people who aren't Catholic have gone to heaven or even purgatory. My grandparents are Christian, but not Catholic. They are really nice and I don't believe they've done so much wrong in their lives. I'm sure they'll go to purgatory in the least. :P -

That being the case, the line forms on the right for those like you who will try to profit from the murder of an innocent man.
Do not be surprised if this happens to you.

Re purgatory.
You will not find that concept in scriptures and I think it was invented by the church for two reasons.
1. To assuage the conscience of people who could not stomack the notion of God sending all the babies and children that scriptures show him killing to hell.
2. To be able to sell indulgences. In other words to bargain with and give ransoms to God when scriptures clearly shows that God is not supposed to take ransoms or bribes.
BTW, the church did not give all that cash to God but spent it on themselves thus screwing God.
Do you really think that human sacrifice is moral?

DaughterOfApollo JuniorI'm a Catholic, and I've never heard anyone say bad stuff about us.... Until I read this. If you guys have a problem with who we are then that your fault. I'm sure we all love being Catholics and you guys need to stop making fun of us. It doesn't matter what religion you are, it only matters that we all believe in God. So sure we might have some different beliefs, but who cares? That's just a lame excuse to trash us Catholics.
