I have no clue about my faith anymore, nothing makes sense. Everything is just so confusing and all the sins I make are caused by temptation :\

I just realized how much my views on religion have changed over my life.
So I'm a bit confused too.
(I used to believe the clouds were cities and people lived up there...I was little....) -
Lilly we all sin, and no one can ever be "good enough". But as long as you love God and try you're just fine. :)

tongue AdvancedOf course it's hard to be a good Catholic girl. Catholicism is a completely antisexual religion. Sex in Catholic dogma is meant to be only for conception, and birth control of any kind (condom, pill, etc.) is strictly outlawed. Not to mention that if a man lusts after a woman, it's considered to be the woman's fault for tempting the man.

The woman's fault? Ahem, guy could learn to, you know, control himself. So if he acts on it it's his own fault.

What he's saying is that in the eyes of christianity, you are supposed to blame the woman. He's pointing out the flaws in the christain religion not saying that as his views. So by posting that Ana, you're agreeing with Tongue.

I think it's funny how people think every Christian is exactly the same. In my beliefs, women aren't second class citizens. There are idiot humans who want control and use God's name to scare people into submission, but they are not true to God's word. Mankind fails me, but God never has. This is all I have to say on the subject. ^_^

And since you and I have always been respectful I will end my arguement with this...
There is no such thing as a true religion. We all see it how we want to see it. God is actually just a part of you. We all percieve our religion how we want to percieve it. And it is because of this that it is so hard to convince people that there is no religion. Whenever someone is down or feeling bad, we can always count on God to help us through the tough times. Whenever something bad happens or we are in pain, we can always trust that God has a reason for it. In all actuallity this is another part of us that we are alienating from our whole. WE are the ones saying we'll get through it. And alienating that part of ourselves from the rest of us is wholely what hurts human beings. It is taking comfort in skitzophrenia to put it bluntly. I dont know about you, but I have personally talked to skitzo's before, and there is nothing fun for them when it happens. Thinking that there is a man in the sky that only you can see is actually building your own alternate identity. The you that you want to be. Always in control, always kind, and always there. You enjoy the comfort you give yourself by telling yourself that you will live forever. By telling yourself that there is a greater plan for you. Within Christianity alone there are over 13,000 denominations, and even within those there are disputes between followers. It is simply because your god lives inside your head. They are in fact, YOU.

tongue AdvancedI didn't say that's how all Christians think. I'm speaking more to what the church establishment teaches. Misogyny is a very prominent belief in Christendom, from Adam and Eve to Paul saying a woman must "submit" to their husband.

I just go to CCD and I don't go to church, and I pray before bed. That's how I keep to my faith.

I just pray all the time and say prayers, and sometimes read the bible, but still don't feel or get anything.
