What is God?
Does he have a name?
Does he have a face?
Is he a spirit?
What God is?
Since I remember myself everybody was saying that God is everywhere and anytime... There was sth I really couldn't understand... How God can do that? After that I tried to understand if God had a face... I am Greek and Greeks are orthodox so I don't know what Catholic people say...so I'm sorry if I make mistakes.
I asked my teacher once, how God is look like... She told me that God isn't a face or a person... Then what exactly he is? And I'll ask the same thing... How can I believe in sth that I have never seen...
Some of you may say that you can feel the air but you can't see it and that doesn't mean it doesn't exist... And you'll be right, but religion is sth sooo important(my opinion is that it shouldn't be so important for many reasons)that I'll need prooves to believe that there is God...
I'm reading about other religions and I see that they have always a face for their Gods. I don't know if that means that people have ever seen their Gods but I'm not an expert so I can't answer that.
I'll give you an example:
I heard on news that somebody died. Why should I believe them? I'll ask to see the body first. I need some prooves. If I really want to see the body I'll go and find it. BUT
Even If I tried a lot, I really can't find God or anyone who has seen Him. And that's my question.
Why people believe in things that they don't even know if they exist...? -
The first answer that comes to my head is the FEAR.
So for one more time I'll go back in time and I'll pretend that I'm a person who lived in the age when God created(or appeared for the first time, for some people who still believe that). I am poor. I have no food and I'm on desert for sooooo many years. I haven't been at school and I don't even know how to read.(In simple words I am a normal person for this age) Everybody is like me...but SOME are stronger and want to have the control of everything, something that was difficult because of the anarchy...(people were stealing each other's things, were raping women, were killing people and children...) There was something tha they couldn't handle. Their FEAR about many things(one of them was the after death life as I've said before)that SOME smarter people wanted to use in order to control. As I said people didn't have knowledge and could easily believe to whatever some people wanted them to believe.
And GOD WAS CREATED!!!!
The perfect chance of control! The perfect way to use people's fears. And then...
DON'T DO THIS!
DON'T DO THAT!
I AM EVERYTHING!
BELIEVE ONLY IN ME!
OR..... YOU WILL BE BURNING IN HELL FOR EVER!!!!
Who could say no...?(I wouldn't cuz I know my condition and He promised to me soo many things that I can't deny!)
