Thread Topic: Why I became an athiest...
-
My goal here isn't to threaten someone into believing. That is incredibly inaffective espicially towards a class of thinkers such as Bob. Ny goal is to put out the odds of what happens. How much does one thing matter compared to this. It'sreally not a threat.

Heck, I'm what you might consider "religious" but I'm not like that.
I'm not backwards, I don't believe God hates science.
(Otherwise we wouldn't have the capability.) -
you have made it obvious brit, that you would rather put your head down and not ask questions and be a "Good little boy", than find things out for yourself and actually extend your own mental prowess. Because it's obvious that yours is greatly lacking.
-
Bob I'm simplifying it to your nature. I have doubts about this whole thing Bob, I'm more open minded than I appear.
And how much research did you actually do? For all I know, you could've crammed this all down in one study hall. -
sorry creating and deleting ideas and editing, hinking before i put down.
-
and yet you tell me not to question god and to roll over and beg to something I know isnt right.
my research has lasted me over half my life. Read the first page of this thread to see.
Also, how much research have you done? I dont see any? -
it's alright. just from this point on, please know what you're actually saying before you say it.
-
Brit if you really love God then you would treat others respectfully and not judge their views. God made us differently and gave everyone free-will. So let Bob believe in what HE believes in NOT you. If you really want to bring people closer to God (which is what I sometimes try to do) then do it in a respectful way!

am I the only athiest on this site?
-
nope :P
-
No Bob, they're other Athiests too. And I respect your views so don't care what Brit says.
-
I feel bad. I'm not even trying to convert brit. I'm just trying to make him actually research and format his arguement. xD
who else are? -
Question his existance? Question what? I did and it didn't clarify.
I can't put a number on it, but it's defintly not been enough to suit your knowledge. I'm not that ignorant.
To the primary argument, what drew you away was your concept. nd this would be the third time asking. Is your concept a Catholic teaching or your own? -
in a way, me :P
-
your arguement doesnt make sense brit.
